Fun place for a casual, work, or romantic meal. The Mardi Gras upbeat vibe hits you as soon as you step in. Everyone loved their dish - Pineapple Fo' Yo Soul Bowl (Creole flavor - NOT Hawaiian or Asian, as one may assume), Fish and Gritz (sautéed shrimp atop a bed of grits WITH smacking gravy! We had a birthday dinner here with 10 people. The experience was very positive; the food was good, the variety of the food was fun. The only problem was that some of the special touches promised for the birthday celebration did not come through. Specifically the cake was not what had been agreed to. Also, personalized menus for the event. I would recommend this venue for a celebration of this type. But beware that all might not be as promised.
Food was just ok. Food was not flavorful . I expected more from a Cajun restaurant . I tried several dishes and did not care for any. I gave service a 4 because one person was serving tables , working the bar, serving as hostess and waitress. I would say there are better choices in San Fran .
