Great for vegetarians! Got a generous 3 item portion of noodles, vegetables, and egg rolls for $13. The staff is kind and the tables and bathrooms are clean. Music is a bit loud but it’s instrumental at least.

I just went for some steamed rice. I don't think the lady there liked that I was only getting rice because when I got home and was getting ready to eat it I noticed, what looks like a cat hair and some dirty black piece of glass thing on the inside of the lid. Gross! Disappointed,I'm not going to eat it or ask for my three dollars back. I'm not going to argue with anyone today.

I just have to things to say, the lady at the front door is so kind and sweet, and the food is the best chinese food I’ve ever eaten, so savory. Highly recommend. (I am tourist and I found this place just walking)

Clean spot in the Mission, settled between 17 and 18. Wan Kee is a clean dinner serving Chinese comfort food, the food spread is nicely put together, you can choose your food by the item. The food is cooked constantly being replaced and cooked in small portions. You can choose to go food or seat inside.

The place looks clean, and the host serving in front was nice, the food portion is large, but taste is lacking, and they are way too salty! I ordered 2 items: the fried chicken in orange sauce and the catfish. Will give it another try for other dishes next time. So if you have high blood pressure, you should avoid the food here!

If you're looking for delicious Chinese cuisine in San Francisco's Mission district, Wan Kee Restaurant is a hidden gem that's definitely worth checking out.As a satisfied customer for over two years, I can confidently say that Wan Kee offers great service with a personal touch from the owner, affordable prices, and generous portions of food. The atmosphere is cozy, with pleasing music in the background, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal or gathering with friends and family. What sets Wan Kee apart is the owner's generosity when it comes to filling your plate. The portions of food are truly generous, and the flavors are authentic and delightful.

Are you hungry? Would you like to eat tasty food? This is a perfect place!! The portions are big and a good prices.I ordered breaded fish, noodles and vegetables. I’m sure each dish was made with love.

Great food, great price, great service. Not Michelin quality but that's not what you're paying. As far as Americanized Chinese food goes, I'm a fan
I have to say I was quite disappointed to try the 3 item meal for a take out lunch. After seeing decent reviews I gave this place a try, it seemed clean inside and the host at the front counter was nice, good prices. The food itself was a big let down however… it’s ready-to-serve food none of the items I got were hot or fresh. Chow mein tastes really bland and the fried chicken thing (orange chicken maybe?) was stale with very odd flavors, the stir-fried veggies were about the only thing that was kind of edible, but still not great. :( Maybe I got the wrong items from this place?? Anyway I’ll probably be sticking to Mission Hunan for my chinese to-go quick fix.
