Clean spot in the Mission, settled between 17 and 18. Wan Kee is a clean dinner serving Chinese comfort food, the food spread is nicely put together, you can choose your food by the item. The food is cooked constantly being replaced and cooked in small portions. You can choose to go food or seat inside.

Amazing for the price!! The owner, Annie, is the sweetest most hardworking woman ever. Definitely tastes homemade, and the portions are massive. My go-to when I am in the office, and quite honestly will put this place against anything else in the Mission.Im serious the amount of food in each portion is unbelievable the box barely closed. Will always recommend.

The place looks clean, and the host serving in front was nice, the food portion is large, but taste is lacking, and they are way too salty! I ordered 2 items: the fried chicken in orange sauce and the catfish. Will give it another try for other dishes next time. So if you have high blood pressure, you should avoid the food here!

If you're looking for delicious Chinese cuisine in San Francisco's Mission district, Wan Kee Restaurant is a hidden gem that's definitely worth checking out.As a satisfied customer for over two years, I can confidently say that Wan Kee offers great service with a personal touch from the owner, affordable prices, and generous portions of food. The atmosphere is cozy, with pleasing music in the background, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal or gathering with friends and family. What sets Wan Kee apart is the owner's generosity when it comes to filling your plate. The portions of food are truly generous, and the flavors are authentic and delightful.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access from the street, no stairs.

You have to try this place!I walked past this place and had to stop and look at the food in the window. The lovely lady at the front counter was helpful and respectful. The food looked good and tasted great. My meal, green tea, and two sodas were less than $22.00. So worth the try!

Yummy no frills Chinese food. Reminds me of places you'd find on the Richmond. Affordable, tasty, and fast. Not every meal needs to be gourmet. Annie is lovely and makes you feel very welcomed.

I love this place. I order lunches for my team from here and they love it. There really is something for everyone, which helps with a big crowd. Annie is the best and we always feel stuffed after lunch. It's a really good value for the amount of food you get.

"Welcome here everybody. Please create your favorite combination. Enjoy the food and music. Thank you." Classic Chinese buffet bargain but with an invitingly cheery accent. The veggies are crisply fresh, not soggy. The owner, Kiki, is welcoming and friendly (Asian or Pacific Islander woman who interestingly seems fluent in Spanish?). Cocktail jazz playing softly (I'll take it, so much better than many potential alternatives). Never seen it too crowded but has a loyal and diverse following, so never empty for long. I'm glad it survived the pandemic, so far.I had a lightly-fried fish (swai, very tender) dish, a yellow curry chicken, and sautéed veggies, all tasty and satisfying. There are 15-20 options, (including plantanas!)The combos are one of the best nutritious deals in the Mission: 2@$8.85; 3@$10.85; 4@$13.80. As far as very cheap Asian eateries in SF go, this might be five stars?Enjoy!

Great food, great price, great service. Not Michelin quality but that's not what you're paying. As far as Americanized Chinese food goes, I'm a fan

Huge stars for being open for breakfast!! Super sweet lady runs this clean mom and pop no frills restaurant. Great variety of food that reflects and respects the neighborhood. Fresh items that are constantly coming out of the kitchen. Prices are good. Pictures next time, I ate too fast.
