Every single dish 10/10. The pumpkin gnocchi is so good try it before it goes off the menu. Fried chicken obv. The stuffing and Brussels also don't miss. And the steak tartare with house made potato chips. And are they on the SF martini trail because they should be.
Wayfare has been on my bucket list places to eat, as I am a huge Tyler fan and a foodie. It truly exceeded my expectations and more. From the details to service, the ambiance, and of course, the food. I went with my husband and three kids (8, 15, & 18), all which were deeply impressed. Every bite we took was impressive. It was five star, 100/10. We ended our meal with donuts, and as full as we were, we couldn't stop eating them. I can't wait to go back. Thank you, Tyler Florence “That was the best meal I ever ate. I'm ruined for the rest of my life”-my 15 year old son.
This was our first time dining at the new location, celebrating my Dad's birthday. The service was outstanding, the food was excellent and my Dad was so happy. We could have stayed all evening.
Great birthday dinner at WT. The popovers, fried chicken, burrata mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were delicious. Portions are very large - we took home enough leftovers for a second dinner. Outstanding, warm, welcoming service which made the event not just a dinner but an experience. We'll definitely be back soon.
Wayfare Tavern is always a great experience! Everyone was attentive, helpful, and present, without being overbearing. Great food, we enjoyed the wine selection too. Next time a cocktail !
This was my first visit to the "new" Wayfare Tavern. We went for Sunday brunch. From the moment we walked in, the service could not have been better. We were early and hostess constantly updated us on the status of our table. We had drinks at the bar and the bartender in addition to serving us immediately, made the best martini I think I have ever had. Once seated, the waiter was equally attentive without being intrusive. Honestly, I think they must have all gone through some amazing training. Not that they weren't great at the old location, but this was really an impressive display of service. The food, per usual, was very tasty. LOVE the popovers. For our main meal we had the burger, the chicken and waffles and the shrimp cocktail. Everything was prepared well and thoroughly enjoyable. It's good to know that the fried chicken is still excellent. The server kept our water glasses full and got us more drinks all in a very timely way. The new venue is similar and a little different from the old. The main dining area feels like the old one. There is a dining room off the main bar with it's own bar that I would like to try next time. It has booths and looks a little more "clubby". I really enjoyed myself and will definitely be returning.
Excellent Comfort food menu, which is exactly what you would expect from chef Tyler. They're trying to get us out. The new location is a nice improvement and the service is excellent. Definitely recommend.
We were on tight schedule; needed to eat quickly in order to make show opening -- our waiter Robert was accommodating, helped get our order in and to our table fast so we could make our show. Food was well prepared and presented, flavorful and quantity/size of each dish was plentiful.
We had to wait almost 25 minutes past our reservation time for the table - the hostess was not very friendly. She initially told me it would be just a couple of minutes. If it was going to be 25 minutes (which happens) I would have gone to the bar to grab a seat as standing in the entry for 25 minutes wasn't great. Just honestly tell someone your table is running 20 minutes late. Then we never got the infamous “pop overs” until the waiter saw it - after dinner - and said “oh let me get them”. Never came. Then we flagged down a bus boy and finally got them - 15 minutes after our dinner plates were cleared. Our water glasses were also never refilled during dinner. They also set down the oysters with no oyster forks or spoons and didn't tell us which oysters were which - had to flag down someone to ask. When I mentioned this to the waiter he then told us to pick desserts on the house - which was nice - but neither of us were hungry at that point. Would've been better to just comp the glasses of wine. All and all they have some service issues to resolve. The waiter did a great job of describing the dishes!
I had a wonderful experience. The new place is energetic and exciting. Decor is beautiful and classy. I would def love to come back again.

The reboot of Wayfare Tavern was a wise move! The new space is lovely. The staff are on point, warm and clearly passionate about the food they are serving. The location is much improved and all around it was a great business lunch! Having a couple more vegetarian options would help take this experience from solid to sublime.
Food was delicious. The bread they served at the beginning of the sitting was the best iv ever had Staff were lovely and friendly
I have dined at Wayfare Tavern before at the old location on Sacramento, and the new location does not disappoint. Service, food, and atmosphere have been transferred to a newer but equally welcoming space.
Waiter was grumpy and non attentive. He wanted to mix two different bottles of wine in the glasses - when stopped he was offended. We told him we had a hard stop because of a show with ample time in advance (~1hour), yet he didn't care - had us wait forever for paying and returning the credit cards despite us telling him the urgency - felt like a payback. Also, asked explicitly for a table near bar when reservation was made far in advance - ended up away from the bar next to stairway. Food was excellent, but the service can spoil an evening easily.
Always a good time ! Food and service is always excellent ! Best Fried Chicken in the city ! Donuts a win for dessert. We have tried everything on the menu over the years. We have never had a bad experience. It's one of our favorite places to bring guests.
