Always a good time ! Food and service is always excellent ! Best Fried Chicken in the city ! Donuts a win for dessert. We have tried everything on the menu over the years. We have never had a bad experience. It's one of our favorite places to bring guests.
This was my first visit to the new iteration of WT. Admittedly, the new setting is a more modern, streamlined version of the old. It's still sophisticated, but it feels more like a restaurant than the old one, which to me always felt like stepping inside an antique home. A lot less charm this time around. But what it lacks in charm, it makes up for in flavor. The pre-dinner popovers are still around and just as tasty as ever, and the fried chicken was the best I've had...
I had dinner at Wayfare Tavern with a friend celebrating his Birthday. We were first seated in the back room which was pretty noisy. I asked to be moved and the front of the restaurant was much better. We enjoyed the food and service.
