This is an intimate restaurant with delicious food that only seats six at a time. Only accepts reservations.

Need to go back. Arrived and saw the sign on door said closed. Waved through the glass at worker inside, he came and opened the door and welcomed us in. Regardless of the fact it said “reservations only” on the door, because there was only one other party eating, I think he was okay with us dining. The entire operation was one man whose service and food was simple and satisfying. No frills. For the price is it unbeatable. Atmosphere feels like you found a small sushi spot in a corner of Tokyo. Really great experience.

Best quality sushi I have had in a long time. You have to call in to reserve a table but it’s well worth it. This quaint restaurant offers a personal experience at unbelievable prices for San Francisco. We will be back soon. Super happy we came here for dinner !

The best sushi I ever had in the Unite States. I really enjoy the sushi there and the food there is super fresh. Besides, the miso soup and the tea are also wonderful.

Atmosphere was nice and pleasant. I do not think the fish were off the best quality, but the prices were reasonable.

Great little sushi joint on Van Ness. Had the eel roll and seaweed salad and was very happy with both.

The sushi is very fresh and made to order in front of you. All rolls include wasabi in them so make sure you ask for no wasabi if that's not your cup of tea! I learned that the hard way. The restaurant is very small with only two tables and bar seating so make sure you call ahead. I'm glad I discovered this place as it can be easily missed, I will definitely be coming back.

My favorite local sushi spot! The fish tastes so fresh, and the sushi rice is so flavorful and balances the fattiness of the fish. I would highly recommend the sea fairy roll, which is a California roll topped with scallops, tobiko, and mayo. The omakase is also perfect for people who want to try a bit of everything, and the serving size is pretty big. The vibe is cozy, and it's a one-man show -- the sushi chef, waiter, and busser are the same man. Price-wise, it's a great deal for the amount and quality of sushi you get. Because it's so good and the staff is only one person, it does get pretty busy. It's reservation only for dinner hours (6-8PM), and don't be surprised if they become too busy for takeout around peak rush times.

My fav spot for sushi in SF! Fish is buttery and fresh, rice is perfectly seasoned. If you cannot tolerate spice, I highly recommend that you specify "no wasabi" when placing your order. Service: Friendly but a bit slow but there was only one chef taking phone/dine in orders, making sushi, and serving. Be patient because the sushi is definitely worth the time!Dine in tip: make sure to call to make a reservation as seating is limited. Street parking can be difficult as well so I definitely recommend not driving here.
