I was in the city visiting some friends and we wanted ice cream. This was down the street from where we were staying and i decided to give it a try. I had oreo and my friend got peanut butter indulgence. Ice cream was above par! Tasted fresh, creamy, and airy. I didnt get a chance but next time i will be ordering their black walnut!

Everytime I am in the area and What's The Scoop is open I come to support for several reasons - one Anthony, is a young entrepreneur and after hearing about the opening I gave it a try! I was not disappointed trying in house flavors and even taking some Goon with a Spoon home as well. I was heart broken to hear about the break-ins they experienced but even more enlightened to see him overcome those setbacks. I had the opportunity to speak to Anthony and learn about his love of making ice cream and how the inspiration came from his grandmother. The flavors that he has are unique and I highly suggest getting more than one scoop at a time. His and his teams service is always pleasant and not to mention the changes that are happening within on improving the welcoming space, cannot wait to go back and see the space. Anthony is a great role model for the next generation!

I was in desperate need of a chocolate shake, bored with my fast food options, and figured I'd check out something new. So glad I landed on What's the Scoop! Found a parking spot right in front so I know it was meant to be. The shop is clean and inviting, the music is nice but not too loud, the server offered samples and then got to work on the shake. Oh, and the shake was really good, chocolatey and thick but still willing to go through the straw. I brought home pints of mint chip and strawberry - the brand is "Goon with the Spoon" - and they were delicious. Rich, dense, strong flavors. Check them out! (I'd recommend later hours once they get going - 7pm closing doesn't give much time for the post dinner ice cream crowd, like Mitchell's caters to.

The ice cream is delicious! I appreciate the owner chose to open an ice cream store in this neighborhood! We don't have too many stores around this neighborhood. This ice cream store brought us such a joy. Love it!

Omg so my hubby and I came here as we pass by it often. The owner is so dope! He makes fresh cookies and all. I had the coffee biscotti ice cream, my hubby had some of the E40 ice cream and we had chocolate chip and brownie cookies. Everything was so good and amazing!! The shop is nice, cute and gets busy. Staff are so nice and friendly. Can't wait to return again

Such a great ice cream shop. The owner makes many of the creative flavors and often has diary free and lower sugar options. The owner and staff treat every person like a VIP. Love taking my kiddo here.

My wife and I heard about this ice cream shop and decided to give it a try. When we came and saw the great selection of ice cream. Plus this place makes cookies from scratch, makes ice cream sandwiches and milkshakes. Mitchell's ice cream is one of the vendors at this place. The owner makes his own ice cream. He also sells E-40 ice cream here. My wife order the coffee bishoff ice cream. She told me the ice cream was delicious and very flavorful. She told me this was some of the best ice cream she has tasted. We also ordered chocolate and brownie cookies. Both were magnificent and filled with flavors. The ambiance is customer service friendly and customer service was top notch. The staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful. Great place to go have ice cream or other items they are offering. Great place I will be back.

My kids and I have a lot of dietary restrictions (gluten allergy, nut allergy, plant-based) and What's The Scoop has something for everyone! The plant based Rum Raisin is a go, I honestly never had Rum Raisin before and this was a great intro to it that may have set the bar too high

Great ice cream quality. Love this place. In and out fast, they have also a few indoor seating options.

I don't know the scoop behind What's the Scoop?, but if you ask me, the Bayview neighborhood needed it. Even though a number of unique eateries dot the urban landscape here, I don't think there's ever been a straight-up ice cream parlor before. When I entered the shop, it felt like any suburban parlor with sundae and milkshake options available. The flavor selection in their display case was split between the ever dependable Mitchell's and their own housemade creations. While Mitchell's Rocky Road has always been on my shortlist, I decided to try their in-house product and ordered the $9 Double Scoop Cup of Butter Pecan and Brown Sugar Coffee (photo: bit.ly/3KwxCCF). It was just as good as you'd assume.ICE CREAM - 4 stars...creamy goodnessAMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...like being at the mallSERVICE - 4 stars...cheerfulTOTAL - 4 stars...Bayview needs thisRELATED - Exploring Bayview/Hunters Point? Excellent and tasty ice cream! They make some of their own vegan flavors, and carry some Mitchell's as well. A nice pleasant storefront to hang out in.
