Ordered potstickers and it was cold. Wouldn’t have mind until I almost swallowed a piece of blue rubber-band that was infused with the potsticker meat. Sanitary standards are questionable. Don’t plan to give this place another try..

Excellent choice for local, cheap dim sum in the Chinatown area of SF. You will see people ordering in bulk from here as they are also providers for other restaurants in the area.

There is seating outside with the shed they built. Pieces of dimsum or buns are cheap and ten dollars will get you full for a few hours of walking and exploring the city! Enjoy this hidden gem!

It’s a take out spot. It’s also a IYKYK kind of place. Tourists flock to places with names they recognize but Wong Lee has items that are standouts. Mochi - peanut or red bean filling - fewer and fewer stores are making these. Chow fun Rice noodles - they make their own from scratch and I’ve seen folks buy rice noodles in bulk to take home. They specialize in glutinous rice zhong (tamales). Their chive & shrimp pan fried dumplings I’m told are good. See photos from others

Vegetarian options: noodles are vegetarian - pan fried soy sauce noodles or fried chow fun. Their spring roll is vegetarian. The red bean mochi and peanuts. They have one or two more steamed cakes that are vegetarian. The maltose steam cake. Go up the street for veggie food at Lucky.

Was in the area waiting for an order and really wanted some egg tarts. Very tasty and flavorful. They have other options as well. Small space so it gets crowded but over all they’re fast and delicious.

Great quality and quantity for price. Authentic childhood favorites. A little taste of nostalgia. Love the preserved egg and pork congee with the Chinese donuts :)))

There’s a little bit of seating available in the little booth on the street

Super cheap USD 1 or 2 only, decent warm Egg Tarts and nice Char Siew Chan Bao. Good morning!

The aunt who sells things has such a bad attitude. I said hello but ignored me. I was the only one in the store at that time! The service attitude is really disgusting

Some of their dim sum stands out, I need to do additional comparisons in the hood to be certain, however I have to highlight the egg custard tart. There are plenty of strong options in the neighborhood, this one stands out because the Tart shell is different, sort of undercooked but crazy buttery , the custard is excellent. It's not the most traditional but crazy addictiveThe pan fried shrimp and chive is very strong contender

Wong Lee on Jackson is a to go only place that has most but not all items on display. Their rice porridge (congee or jook) ? is excellent, nice and creamy and felt like it spent hours on the stove. The rice rolls with shrimp have some jumbo sized shrimp... Once but isn't that warm, and really needs to be reheated to be enjoyed properly. Prices are comparable to other shops around the area.

Wong Lee Bakery is my newly discovered Chinese To Go Food in Chinatown. If you are around the area, get dimsum from this shop, YOU WILL NOT REGRET! I spent $11 for chowmian and 2 sets of xiomai.Food:I bought chow mien, chicken and beef xiomai. The xiomai is very tasty, not too salty! (I wish to receive dipping sauce packets for xiaomai next time!) The chow mian is delicious, far better than fastfood chain chow mian. The size of 1 serving of chowmian is good for 1-2 people.Service:This is a GO-TO RESTAURANT. Super quick, except if the person ahead of you has Soo much order. Hehehe. But the shop is really quick in packing their food.Ambiance:Perfectly okay for me. Again, my rule when it comes to food or restaurant is "IF THE SHOP AND FOOD ARE INSTAGRAMABLE OR TIKTOKABLE, the food is so-so (mama hoho). BUT if the food delicious, the food is and atmosphere are simple

Wong Lee is a solid dim sum take-out restaurant. They have the regular dim sum staples such as siu mai and haw gow as well as chow mein by the pound and porridge. They also have the baked goods such as egg tarts and onion buns. $4 a pound for chow mein is not bad. The lines isn't as long as the places on Stockton St. Lunch was good today.
