Mid week they do not have all of the options available on the carts (fried taro dumplings, shrimp rice sheets) which was disappointing, but honestly understandable given how big of a difference in demand between weekends and weekdays
Best dim sum ever! They literally roll over the cart and serve your food. That is unbelievably delicious every single item.

Bad customer service as the server will offer you the service level depends on your skin color
I expected more options and a better service. It was ok for a non-pork eater. The staff isn't great - they're in a hurry and don't have patience to even tell you what they have on their trays. We've been here before and I recall it being a lovely experience. Not so good this time.
Yank Sing has some of the best dim sum in the world---certainly the best in San Francisco. It would also be in the top of dim sum places in Hong Kong or Taipei. (much better than any place in mainland China.) Staff is very helpful and decor is nice. Noise level is a little high, so you have to get used to it. Both staff and other customers are very nice.
The food is great, but it's hard to figure out during dim sum what is being offered to you. Most of the service staff speaks very little English, and always with a heavy accent. In a noisy restaurant, it's difficult to tell what they are saying.
Great brunch to catch up with friends - good selection and food came around at a good pace. Very friendly staff!
While I realize that this restaurant serves a large number of people, I would have liked to have been seated and not rushed. As soon as we took our seats we were being asked to select food. I wanted a beverage and a chance to catch my breath. I am thinking as we were just two people they try to rush you. We ordered and since at times it was hard to understand the server we ordered something we didn't want-we asked several times and neither my husband or I could quite understand. I didn't think the food was as good as last time. The potstickers were great.
I don’t know if Yank Sing has declined in quality over the years or if you can get better dim sum now in so many other places that it doesn’t stand up to the comparison. Any large American city with a Chinese community would probably have better choices than this. There was some definite funk on the pork buns and the chicken satay. Not worth the price. It’s not horrible, but they are resting on their laurels and we won’t be back.

yummy food! Service is pushy at start but then lacks when you want more or to close out bill. But typical of this culture food.

Good variety and fast service. We arrived 30 min after they opened, mist food was cold when served. Some dumplings seemed to have been left over from the precious day, as the dough was tough. Disappointing. We had. It been in years. We will go back to Chinatown next time
Good food … service was efficient … can be more friendly

Friendly staff! Hosts were on it! Some of the food could have been hotter. Otherwise great first experience! Will come back.
The food was amazing. I wish I could have eaten more but my stomach would not allow it! I wanted to try everything. It was very busy, very loud, and a bit chaotic in there. Although there were many employees zipping all over the place it was hard to get someone's attention to get a togo box and the check. Definitely make reservations so you don't have to wait. I would go back again it was delish.
I have been coming to Yank Sing since the 1970s when it was on Broadway in a small space where the serving plates were counted at the end of the meal to calculate the bill. I have never stopped coming, wherever the location changed. Though expensive, Yank Sing continues to offer the best dim sum in the city. The service is never a problem. The manager Leanna keeps things moving and always stops by to chat. Always a craving fulfilled.
