Mid week they do not have all of the options available on the carts (fried taro dumplings, shrimp rice sheets) which was disappointing, but honestly understandable given how big of a difference in demand between weekends and weekdays

Yank Sing has some of the best dim sum in the world---certainly the best in San Francisco. It would also be in the top of dim sum places in Hong Kong or Taipei. (much better than any place in mainland China.) Staff is very helpful and decor is nice. Noise level is a little high, so you have to get used to it. Both staff and other customers are very nice.

While I realize that this restaurant serves a large number of people, I would have liked to have been seated and not rushed. As soon as we took our seats we were being asked to select food. I wanted a beverage and a chance to catch my breath. I am thinking as we were just two people they try to rush you. We ordered and since at times it was hard to understand the server we ordered something we didn't want-we asked several times and neither my husband or I could quite understand....
