Friendliest owners ever! Really felt like a warm hug with an at home touch eating from this place. Curry was stellar at affordable prices!
Genuine 10/10 hidden gem. I don’t say this lightly. Best soba I’ve had outside of Japan. Best value in SF hands down. And this close to Fidi? Absolutely insane. I don’t even want to write this review because I want to gatekeep this place for myself, but the cute couple running it was so kind I couldn’t help but want to show some support.
Delicious. Highly recommend the chicken teriyaki. Friendly owners :)
The couple run the restaurant is very friendly. They actually sells Indonesian beef rendang and also Indonesian chicken curry. The taste is quite authentic. Very generous serving for the price. Some menu can be ordered half portion. It's only for take out.
Take out only. Cash only. Went with the chicken curry special. Was super tasty, solid rice. Lovely folks running the restaurant.
Second experience was much better I've gotten chicken curry twice and it was good. TY!
Updated rating to 4 stars.
First experience 0 stars - I want to start off by saying that the service and atmosphere is 5/5 stars.
But the food on the other hand was a diff story, I got the "one order chicken teriyaki plate white rice" it was a 2 star at best, If not 1.
Chicken had an alarming taste, I would describe it as "old" or "plastic" taste, as well as the look of it, dark spots, definitely not seem fresh.
The rice was slimy and also had a strange taste that I could only describe as "plastic" or something.
Super unenjoyable, idk if I got a bad plate because I do see people line up like crazy for this spot. Nonetheless this was my experience I'm just hoping I don't get sick.🤢

It’s a takeout restaurant that serves delicious homemade food. The owners are very friendly. It can get really busy during lunchtime as many people go there to grab lunch.

I started going to this place 25 years ago. Great lunch place. I’ve been out of the neighborhood for more than 20 and the couple that runs it literally still remembers me and my standard order. I go a couple times a year, just because it is that good.

Very good and simple Japanese food at great prices. Definitely try the chicken curry. 1 little table but almost everyone is takeout.

Real value here for a simple, delicious meal. I ordered one order of the udon and it came out to only $9.50. The meal was filling and tasted good. The udon was on the thinner side and it leaned towards the salty side but I enjoyed my meal. The owners were pleasant and super friendly.
