Yum! The tapas and the staff earned rave reviews! The tortilla espanola is muy rico, as was everything else we tried. Had the pleasure of being introduced to the chef and family. What a great experience. We'll return when in San Francisco, for sure!!

Wonderful food in a nice restaurant that serves tapas. Everything we ordered were delicious. The service was efficient. There were many food choices available. The standout dishes we tried were the stew, tripes, calamari in aioli and paella. Definitely a must come back again place.

Walked out of this place really disappointed! I had really high expectations for this place because of the yelp reviews! I'm starting to not trust yelp with all these false high ratings for restaurants!!! We ended up getting vermicelli seafood with white wine, pork medallions, and the empanadas. Pork medallions tasted like it was microwaved and overcooked. There was really no flavor. The vermicelli seafood came with three or four mussels some calamari, small pieces of fish and shrimp. It was ok, something I could've made at home and I was very unimpressed. The empanadas... meh. It was Soggy and tasteless. Compared to other restaurants, I've had way better. I most likely wont be coming back here. Maybe our expectations were little too high.......

Very busy. Great paella and small plates.

The transitional Spanish rice with sea food and chicken is great. Good for two people. The sangria is amazing. The location of this place is very easy to find. I would definitely take my mom here.

Went for good Paella, ended up almost breaking a crown. I was in tears and holding my jaw and the waiter didn't seem to care, he didn't even offer to reduce the check! The manager seemed to be at the same loss! I had to tell them to take half the price off since I was only able to eat half the dish, all while I was in tears and holding my jaw! Rotten customer service, the paella is great if you have steel teeth.

I love it when I find a great neighborhood Spanish tapas place. This restaurant is nestled in the middle of Russian Hill (Union and Hyde) and just serves great tapas. My friend and I ordered a couple of the specials (fried smelt and padron peppers) as well as the dates, shrimps, octopus, squid, paella and the crema catalana. In short, it was way too much food but we wanted to try everything (I ended up taking a doggy bag home). Everything was on point. The octopus was the house specialty and I really enjoyed that. The paella was cooked perfectly (not sure if this is the best I've had but it's up there). To me, the most special tapas was the fried smelt. I wouldn't hesitate ordering the same items the next time I'm here. Everything here is nice and rustic. The restaurant itself and the music they play literally makes you feel like you are in Spain (and I've been). The service was nice and attentive. The above meal plus a glass of wine including tax and tip costs about $80 per person - it's about what you would expect to spend to eat a nice dinner in SF these days. Highly recommended!!!

3.5 stars for this hole in the wall Tapas place. Went with high expectations. Sort of didn't live up to the ratings I felt. Service was good, the sherry was decent. But the tapas were ok at best. Had the sausage braised in wine and the pork medallions. Didn't wow me, but was decent in taste. Ah, I think Toro Bravo and Ataula have spoilt me too much!

Excellent food and service. I went here with a group of 3 other people at around 6pm on a Thursday. We were sat right away, but the restaurant was mostly full when we left before 8pm. We had many delicious small plates - but the octopus, prosciutto dates, and jamon Iberico stole the show. Come here and have tapas and wine. You won't be disappointed.

This quaint, small restaurant at the corner of hyde has the most attentive and friendliest service I've ever experienced. The entire meal from beginning to end was satisfying and we even got to witness a server sing a spanish song! For the hot tapas we ordered: -Calamari with aioli sauce: Anything with aioli sauce is bound to taste awesome -Chorizo in wine sauce: my favorite tapas of the night -Empanada of the day: slightly different than most empanadas I've had before due to the thicker, crusty outer layer, but still good nevertheless. All delicious and at the right portions to leave enough room for the paella valenciana! (cause what is a spanish meal without a paella?) For dessert we had the Crema Catalana which is pretty much a creme bru00fblu00e9e Would highly recommend this place! The atmosphere is truly welcoming and I liked the fact that the restaurant wasn't too loud to carry out a conversation

Neighborhood Spanish joint with classic tapas options. Laid back ambience and friendly service. Mediocre food and wine. We got the arroz negro, which was not bad, just hopped out would be a but more exciting.
