It had been at least a decade if not longer since I last visited Zuni Cafe and it felt just as it did all those years ago in the best way possible! Lovely ambience as always and great service. I raved about the chicken for months to my kids and although the bread salad was perfect, the chicken served was quite dry. Aside from that, we enjoyed a lovely afternoon at Zuni
Had a great dinner at Zuni with friends. Missed out on the chicken because we were heading out to the opera, but every dish was delicious and satisfying. Look forward to another visit.
We've come here for years and it was a bit lackluster this time. The Caesar was over drenched in dressing and tasted like it had been in the fridge for hours. The chicken was great as usual but missed its usual exceptional. Polenta was excellent and fries were just okay (surprised). Oysters were fresh. We wished the modernized their non alcoholic drink menu. We're local and will come back but we really hope its standard remains high especially with how much you have to spend to dine here. We love the classic menu and want it to keep going!
The Service was great, very friendly. The roast chicken didn´t fullfill our expectation after reading the critics about this meal. Ist was a big portion, but the price on a very high level It was not the great experience we expectet
It was amazing. All the local had told me for years to go there. We had the chicken, of course and we are glad that we did very very delicious. We also had oysters that were insanely fresh. Totally recommend.
Having not been in over ten years as moved away was NOT disappointed on my return visit..As wonderful and up to standard as always!
The lunch was great. The persimmon salad, pizza, lentil soup were perfect. The dessert was also delish
Persimmon, pear and chervil salad was divine...little gems, ducking and pavlova....perfect!
The fig popover, lamb chickpea soup of the day, and polenta were all exceptional, each offering a unique and delightful taste. The soup was so good that I am tempted to get the cookbook. Sunday brunch was wonderfully peaceful, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the meal.

It has been nearly a half century since Zuni opened. And yet, it is outstanding as ever. It is not just that it has the greatest roast chicken ever. It has one of the best Caeser salads anywhere, a great fritto and a selection of wines with a veey reasonable price given the top quality. No wonder it is hard to get a reservation!

Fabulous place. The food was outstanding and the vibe was awesome. Our server started out ok and got a little worse as the night went by. By the end, another server billed us, and the completely wrong check, so we had to flag our original server to get the right one. Too bad, as otherwise it was a fantastic time. Definitely worth a visit
our server leah made the night very memorable. she provided my friend and I the best service. she had ample and detailed knowledge of the wine list and menu.
Our experience was 10/10 - it was the best Zuni meal I've had in a while. Delicious cocktails, oysters, fries and of course chicken.
It's been YEARS since I lived in SF before law school after graduating undergrad early (rented my parents place in Noe Valley nearby back then), then moved back to finish law school (lived in the Marina and then Russian Hill), before moving back to NYC (and now London), still honestly maybe the best bloody Marys in the world (even made them at home with their recipe years ago for quite some time). Pretty much the only thing we'd go this far south to from Russian Hill/the Marina/etc and still miss them.
The chicken and fries. No further comment necessary
