This place is such a hole in a wall, and would definitely come back. I was here literally last week and been thinking about coming back all week this week! The place is like everyone said, half grocery (international market, mostly indian goods), and half restaurant. I mean hey some people can make a business model after it, full respect. The quality of their food doesn't decrease just because its half and half, in fact, this place have the best indian food I have had thus far! There is bollywood music video playing on the TV, you are served with kindness by the staff there, and also attentativeness. The staff are great at recommending things, but they are also great salesmen - as in they would point at things asking if you want to order - lol.I ordered the garlic cheese naan, which was delicious. The tikki masala lambm which melted in my mouth. The rice was okay, but I haven't been too enthused about rice as of late, so it might just be a personal preference thing.Their mango lassi is okay, but food was really great! The parking lot is huge, free parking and shared with the other stores in the plaza.I would come back! Bring your wallet as its not the cheapest, but also bring your appetite.

I have never given a restaurant a full 5 stars but wow. I can’t speak on the dine in experience since I ordered takeout but that was hands down the best indian food I’ve ever had. The butter chicken completely melted in my mouth and the flavor is indescribable. The veggie samosas were perfectly crispy and the flavor was completely elevated with the chutney provided. Overall I paid around $40 for butter chicken, 3 pcs samosas, garlic naan, and a small basmati rice. A little pricey but everything I ordered could definitely be shared between two people. Not today though, it was way too good to share. ?

This was a small restaurant + market which was unique, we got 2 combos for ~$13 each and the combo samosas. I recommend getting the family 4pc samosas to share between 2 ppl, as they were definitely a hit. The 2 combo plates we got were also very solid, although the 2 pc tandoori chicken was not nearly enough to pair with all the rice and naan bread. The desert was nice but a bit oily and sweet for our taste. Taste 7.2/10 Value 7.5/10

Came here for dinner with my girlfriend and it was delicious! We started off with some samosas which were incredible. The spinach samosa was good but the potato and chicken samosas were delicious. To eat we ordered the lamb vindaloo and the chaska masala curry with chicken. Both of these dishes didn’t disappoint, so much flavor. To drink we had masala chai, which was tasty as well. Definitely plan on going back soon.

I would recommend this place! It's a casual Indian restaurant/market so you wouldn't expect it to be that good, but I was pleasantly surprised with their food! I love that you can also make your curry as spicy as you want! I would definitely be coming back here for some more tikka masala and try other dishes as well!

It's a family run business. Food is always delicious. Don't expect a fabulous atmosphere. They also run a market connected to the restaurant. But cleanliness is good. The two businesses are separated by a faux green wall.

Gross all around. Rice was cold and dry. Everything was really bad. Can't even understand the good reviews

The very best Indian in the area! On top of their excellent food, they are also the nicest people. We typically order delivery, and when on one occasion the naan was missing, they redelivered it along with an extra order.

One of the most authentic Indian restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley! Bhanu the restaurant is located within an Indian market and the staff here are extremely friendly! There's both northern and southern Indian dishes and everything in between. Prices are reasonable in this day and age. I'm not in the area often anymore but this place has been a go to for dosas for a long time (think thin Indian style pancake with your choice of filling). I usually go with the chicken masala or Mysore masala dosa.

The store has a nice variety of whole spices to choose from. The restaurant in back has affordable combos and a scrumptious butter chicken. The naan though is doughy and could be better.

2024-01-29 we stopped by at 6pm for the first time based on a friend's recommendation. Food, based on only one meal, was tasty and good. Probably better than any other Indian cuisine we have tried in the San Gabriel valley vicinity. So do go. Some slightly negative observations: 1) the poori bread and lamb curry were too oily - but that is a matter of taste. 2) serving the meal on/in a metal tray like a high school lunch room (or the US Army - I was there) is unattractive and off-putting. We saw this at other tables. We, however, were served on round 10-inch metal platters that were not perfectly flat so they would spin around when touched by a fork. Kinda novel to see your own plate spinning like a mini lazy susan. 3) Asked for knives. Promised but none forthcoming. So cut my Tandoori chicken with a fork. Messy. 4) asked for (mandatory) hot sauce. Had to ask twice. 5) Asked for and were promised Chutney but none was forthcoming. 6) Payment was on a hand-held card swipe where the minimum default tip was 18% and the max, I think (I never got beyond 18%) was 30%. Yes there was an option for "other" but then you have to keyin the amount. So they got their 18%. I don't like those machines. But they did take AMEX. Will we go back? Yes, to try the other dishes out of curiosity. BTW: No alcohol. But do go. Worth a try.
