Delicious. Best XLB I've ever had hands down. The hand pulled noodles in the Chongqing soup were delightful.

I've eaten here multiple times and the food has always been stellar - if I could rate higher than 5* I would. I particularly love the 然面 and 担担面 but you truly can't go wrong here. Just don't forget to mix your noodles 18 times! Truly one of my favourite spots in SGV and a place I'll continue to visit

Hole in a wall, but their special noodles are the bomb! Since this is a special Sichuan place, expect high levels of spiciness, but don't get yourself entangled in possibilities; if you can't eat spicy, ask them and they'll cook it without spices. Personnel English is limited, but their willingness to please makes up for it. Just ask for the "kitchen lady" (probably the owner) and she'll come out to translate.Parking: Wide lot, plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Sure is.

One of the better noodle places in the area. My go-to is their Biang Biang noodles and Laziji, both were yummmm

Delicious Dan Dan noodles! After trying many places, this one is the best. Can't wait to go back for more. The service was amazing, and the server was so sweet.

Great little cafe / restaurant located in a mini-mall that specializes in noodles and to a lesser extent - dumplings. The space is small, but has a cozy, comfortable feel to it. When I walked in I was greeted by some really friendly people and was able to sit right away. (I came in on a weeknight - parking was east too). Oh and the prices here are super reasonable. The menu was larger than I expected, but the people were very helpful helping me narrow down what I wanted. I ended up ordering the house special Chong Qing noodles, but with the bigger, thicker hand made noodles (#30). There was a version with thinner noodles as well. I also ordered the vegetarian steamed dumplings, lest I ate way too much meat. The noodles were mixed with minced pork, bok choy, an egg, all soaked in Sichuan, lip numbing, chili oil goodness. I could have gotten the noodles a little on the mild side, but wanted them how the preparers intended them to be. I was sweating... but I also am very sensitive to heat. The noodles were very delicious and hearty. The dumplings had great structure (delicate wrap, but sturdy and held together extremely well) and were super tasty as well. I probably should have stopped before eating the amount that I did, but couldn't help myself. I was stuffed. I ended up taking the rest home and there was enough for almost another small meal. Really enjoyed the food and experience here. Totally recommend.

We came during a weekday lunch time and it was surprisingly busy. It all made sense once we tried out their noodles and dumpling. Lamb soup noodle: You have to like this flavor to start and it comes with various lamb intestines such as kidney and stomach. It is very flavorful but you have to appreciate that lamb taste. Chicken giblet noodle: This was a lot more spicy than I imagined it but it was really tasty and flavorful. I believe they cook up all the chicken giblets in pan then top it onto the noodle, so it has an extra layer of yum to it.Dumplings: nothing too special, but it was definitely home made based on the irregularity of the shape.Highly recommend but make sure which dishes are spicy and which are not because it came to my surprise.

Date: Oct 29, 2023 @ 6:30pmI found out about this place because of a Mark Weins video, and I'm here to confirm that the hype was definitely real! I've tried Chongqing cuisine before in the Bay Area, but this spot in San Gabriel is way more authentic and tastes like it was prepared in Chongqing. This is a mom & pops no frills kind of establishment, where the servers know just enough english to get by. All the dishes were served quickly, and my table even received a complimentary dish of Steamed Cold Chicken! DISCLAIMER: If you're not familiar with Chongqing cuisine, please note that it's infamous for being very spicy (numbing spicy) so most dishes will be spicy. I overheard some uninformed customers request recommendations for non-spicy dishes, and complain about their non-spicy dishes being "too spicy." If you can't handle spice please save yourself the trouble and do your research beforehand!~ APPETIZERS ~*3. Garlic Cucumbers -- $6.99Don't expect red pickled spicy cucumbers like you would from a Taiwanese restaurant. This is meant to be a palette cleanser so it's not spicy, just very garlicky, salty & tangy!*6. Steamed Cold Chicken -- complimentary :) Whatever marinade/sauce they put on this chicken, it's sooo addicting. It's spicy, savory & sweet at the same time. The chicken itself is juicy and tender too.*6c. Spicy & Numb Cold Jelly -- $7.59Also known as Liang Fen in chinese, this dish is made from a mung bean starch and served with a tangy and savory spicy sauce. This is a refreshing appetizer with a nice soft jelly texture. I think the sauce may have been the same as the one in the steamed chicken dish. ~ NOODLES ~* 37c. Spicy and Sour Glass Noodles -- $9.59If you're looking for a flavor palette like hot & sour soup, you will 100% like this dish. The soup is literally bright red, but it's a spice level that still allows you to enjoy the sour and savory flavor of the soup. It's also a numbing spice, so your tongue might be tingling lol. The noodles are made of potato starch so it's super chewy.*30. Chongqing Handmade Noodles -- $10.99This was my favorite dish! The broth is savory and spicy, and the noodles are hand pulled so they're thick and chewy. It's topped off with braised meat, a fried egg & bokchoy.

Amazing spot for sichuan food. The waitress was able to tell us which items could be vegetarian/vegan. We got the youpin, veg dumplings and another wide noodle dish that had a broth (second dish next to youpin) it was incredibly flavorful and left the perfect blend of tingling numbness from my good old friend Sichuan peppercornVegetarian options: The waitress was able to tell us which items we could have and those that could be made vegetarian

It's okay. Service is good, but not everyone speaks English, so make sure you have your translator app or someone who speaks Mandarin with you. The noodles are the best thing to order here. Everything else was okay. Don't get the kung pow chicken. It wasn't spicy. It was sweet. It tasted odd. It almost tasted like old chicken. I was worried I might get sick and didn't eat it.

This is the first time we've had this recipe for Biang Biang noodles. The noodles were good and firm. My wife didn't care for the tomato based sauce but I enjoyed it nevertheless. The server didn't speak English well but she did double check that she captured our order correctly by pointing to the menu photo.
