I've been coming here my whole life. It's still very good, but it's a little pricey.
The pan dulce might be good, but costumer service is horrible. I spent more than $100 on pan and food to be treated as if I was an inconvenience to them. Will not return because of the older rude lady at the counter.

Love that place.. My family and I have been going there for 20 years.. We've moved away to LA Verne and Hesperia and anytime we're down there we HAVE to go to that spot.

Tucked away in the San Gabriel Valley, an area now better known for Taiwanese Breakfasts or handmade Noodles, El Pavo Bakery & Restaurant has been around since 1962 when Don Pedro Vasquez immigrated from Mexico with an idea to serve Food from back home.
Serving everything from Beans, Burritos and Tamales to Birthday Cakes and Pan Dulce it is inside the sizable shop that guests are invited to self-select yeasty Concha or Besos made the right way with thick Guava Jam and shredded Coconut.
Fortunate to visit when Pan de Muerto was warm from the oven, several sizes suitable for families of all sizes, Cookies trend a little bit harder than many while Croissants, Oreja and filled Danishes are not only well-crafted but offered at an excellent price.

1. Food is good.
2. At least one fly was flying in the closed bread shelf.
3. Keep invoice and check credit card statement.

The food there is not good at all. Service is bad , it seems as if they hate working there . I will never go there again. I ordered a couple of things and they didn't have anything that I ordered. I order other dishes that they had at time .

Went on a crazy mission for pan dulce only to be disappointed by this very popular panaderia. Conchas were hard, and definitely not made that same day... Same with the bolillos. Luckily we found another great spot just a couple minutes away from here. Google it, you'll find it.
