Let's get the not great out of the way; it's an undecorated banquet hall, and it's very chinese. Just take a Chinese friend with you so the people pushing the carts can communicate with your table, and cope that the drab interior keeps the cost of the food down, because you will be ordering a lot of it, because it's all great. We ordered 14 different things and they were all delicious. I've had bad dimsum before but this restaurant has restored my faith in it. I'm ready to get hurt again, but it won't be by this restaurant.
Would eat again and recommend.

Restaurant has been closed.
Nothing was right about this place. This restaurant is inside the Hilton Hotel with good reviews. Our first time....We first head to the restaurant and find out the entire restaurant was booked for an event. There were no signs or hostess there to ask if there were other seating. Only as we were about to leave disappointed, we heard from other lost customers they had moved the general public to one of the other restaurants on premise. There were no signs or hostess there either. We knowingly are aware they have lots of events in that restaurant, we had called ahead to confirm there are tables available. Even then, no mention of moving to a different restaurant. Very misleading!
Then they sat us at a table that was tilted and so small that only fits half of our dishes. More disappointment!
We ordered 7 dishes, only 2 were edible. The rest was either cold, too salty, or it was not braided long enough so it was chewy.
The service was alright but this one lady that pushed the cart to deliver food to the tables kept bumping into my mom's chair. It took a long time to get the tea kettle filled and our check.
Overall, it was a big disappointment and don't recommend anyone going. For sure we won't be returning.

Huge venue with giant tv playing sports, excellent food and service, with convenient parking. The eggplant, fish, and tofu clay pot were delicious - they add jalepenos for a spicy twist that makes the dishes fresh and layered with flavor. Overall really fresh and not lardy. Lobster was meh

The best dim sum in LA. The new place is a little bit crowded than the old place.

Currently relocated to the Hilton not sure if they will be moving back to the old 99 Ranch Plaza after they renovate. I’m giving this place a 5* because the food is still good. 5* for the service and atmosphere because it’s your classic push-cart style dim sum and pushy dim-sum ladies. You can’t go to Disneyland and expect the workers to be rude and pushy. They’re just following traditions and protocol. This is all part of the vibe and culture. Five Star Seafood will always remain in the hearts of 626ers. Many celebrations, many fights, and much history to an old school spot like this. I hope they move back up to 99 Ranch Market plaza once done.

Enjoyed the food very much tasty and delightful
Service is quick, mostly because food is brought prepared on carts . I've been going here for years foods always great. However, the restaurant is dated, and the furniture , flooring, and more need to be updated, cleaned, or just replaced

Excellent food and service, despite the long lines. The staff is very efficient.
It was my first time to dine here and I was a little disappointed that the beef offal was sold out at around 12 noon! I originally wanted to eat seafood bean curd rolls, but the waiter brought me steamed bean curd rolls stuffed with mushrooms and meat. The sauce was too salty and the meat was too much! Siomai, the pork ribs were too fatty and I didn’t like it. The six dishes plus tea for two plus tax were more than 38 yuan. I gave the waiter $100 in cash to check out but couldn’t wait for the change to come back... so I had to go to the counter to get it back! But this is much different from the same branch I ate at near my home more than 20 years ago! The young waiters are not as conscientious and active as the middle-aged and elderly waiters...I tip well, but I lament that there are not as many choices for meals as before...
Visited again. My kids enjoyed the meal very much. They like sweets. The fried seafood rolls were a bit empty. There seemed to be mayonnaise in them. They were cold and not tasty when they arrived.
