Here is another review after my first review in 2017. I went back few times and lucky no more under cook chicken so far. New faces staff continue to provide better services. However, long term staff still have the attitude. It is so annoying when you can actually hearing the waitress taking behind customer' back and complaining over small things. Funniest thing is that waitress was very brave and showed her ugly face to the customer. Well...Here is "who's care" attitude again. Anyway, this is the fresh but just too busy to post until now. Friendly reminder the door or wall is not that thick in the restaurant.

So sad to see them closed, been coming here for at least ten years. But I heard they have a location in Temple City, can't wait to try it out.

The restaurant is a bit small and they sell organic produce by the entrance. I ordered the organic hainan chicken rice and it was really good! I highly recommend it. The service was great and friendly.

I was initially advised to skip on their Hainan chicken... but after witnessing every guest in the entire restaurant chomping down a plate, I knew I had to taste what the hype was about. Hainan chicken with lemongrass rice - Plump, tender, juicy chicken with fragrant rice. Pretty good especially with a claim of "healthy". The dipping sauces (sweet soy, chopped ginger, and hot chili sauce) were standard but tasty - Sticky Rice's dipping sauce is still the best in my book thus far. Satay beef pot - a little too oily for my taste (not exactly drinkable). The flavor was popping and the beef was tender. Could had used a little more veggies? Overall - Went really well with rice! Sukiyaki beef pot - the broth was sooooooo yummy. Perfect balance of sweet and savory. I wanted to pour the broth onto all my food. Huge portion - enuff to be shared! A def must get! Yam fries - served with honey mustard. Super filling and wished they served this a little earlier. We didn't get ours until we were half way through our mains. Thick cut, super starchy - only get this if u have a group to help u. I love fries but this much fries! Overall - well priced, tasty, super filling, and organic/healthy? Def will be back!

Probably THE best restaurant in the entire 626, in my honest opinion. I absolutely love this joint. From the healthy food choices, to the organic food they have on sale, to the good customer service, I will be coming back time and time again! Food: I got the grilled chicken with rice dish, my girlfriend got the hainan chicken with hainan rice, and we both opted for the yam fries with honey mustard. All of our food tasted amazing and fresh. No frozen taste to any of the food like some other places and everything felt light - not heavy at all. Neither of felt sluggish after our afternoon lunch! Service: Service was great. The servers were prompt in taking our order and getting us seated right away. Top quality! Overall, my girlfriend and I enjoyed our experience. We will definitely be back to try more food!

Wow, I've never been to an ORGANIC restaurant before. The restaurant is located in a mini-plaza right next to a supermarket. We couldn't find any parking, so guess what? We parked in the supermarket parking lot. We aren't technically supposed to do that, but shhhh... The food is a bit on the pricey side, but that's understandable, considering organic food is expensive these days. Also, not to complain or anything... But the dishes I got seemed like you could easily make it at home... Anyways, usually when I go out to eat, I feel bad for eating so much food, but this restaurant definitely changed that. I came out feeling like a happy balloon, lightweight and nourished. (That probably doesn't make sense, but you get the idea.) The food filled me up just enough to satisfy my hunger. Service-wise... Well, there was a Caucasian woman who was really friendly. She would always check up on us and refill our cups with water or tea. Bonus: FREE scoop of ice cream per table if you check-in!

I can honestly eat here every day!! I love that there's a place on planet earth with clean and ORGANIC food!! And it's amazingly DELICIOUS!!! My go to food from here is the mini spicy won ton from appetizer, their Murazaki fries, and the organic grilled chicken with lemon grass rice. Oh! And I love their mushroom salad!! I also like to order their won ton or dumpling soup but get it lo main style and then I dump the spicy won tons in the noodles lol I posted some pic of my creation ;) check it out!! I really wanted to give it a 5 star but I've been coming here for a long while now. I recently came in on 2/23/19 (Saturday) there was some new staff that provided very mediocre service and every single item that I usually order was not up to par of what it usually is.

Restaurant is really aesthetic! The front part as you walk in is set up like a farmer's market, and indeed they do sell produce and the like separately from the dining itself. The main selling point appears to be organic, healthy menu items made from fresh products. For starters, we ordered the salmon triangles, murasaki fries, and steamed half & half gyoza with pork-shrimp. I liked the salmon triangles best - I felt like the "whipped"-like salmon and crunchy shell went well with the wasabi dipping sauce. The murasaki fries were a little flavorless, but an interesting food to try nevertheless! The gyoza were pretty standard. Our main dish was the organic hainan chicken rice, which I've heard people compare to Savoy's hainan chicken. I personally think Savoy is better, but I didn't think Green Zone's was all that bad. We also got the free Yelp check-in ice cream at the end. Sweet way to end the dinner! One final note - I just visited their website, and the story of how this restaurant came to be is actually really cute! A couple created Green Zone after concerns about the kinds of foods their child would be eating growing up... so they built up Green Zone to provide that healthy food! Pretty cool to see the "human" side of a business like that.

I have been here a few times but I keep forgetting to right a review! It's one of my go to restaurants when I just need something quick. The main two dishes that I order here is the Hainan Chicken with rice and the Satay beef with vegetable and enoki hotpot. The chicken from the Hainan chicken is cooked just right. I love that they cut the pieces of chicken into smaller pieces and de-bone the chicken! It makes it a lot easier to eat. The Satay beef hotpot also has a lot of flavor. I had it with a side of rice. It's a pretty big portion and I was unable to finish the whole thing all to myself. The restaurant is a little bit on the smaller side and there is sometimes a wait but not too long! If you like Hainan chicken, you should definitely try this place! I really like this place because all of the ingredients tastes really fresh!

Really good place. What I really like about this place is they don't overfill the plate. You get out with a very good filling. You're full but not too full. And they're fair with the price too. It's not too expensive. But the appetizers are about the same price as the entrees, so if you're ordering that it can add up. Their menu is simple and straightforward. With this model, you know that whatever you order from the kitchen is going the be made to order and is going to be fresh. No microwaving (which I'm sure happens in cheesecakefactory!). Everything in the menu is simple, delicious, filling, and clean. We don't feel sluggish after eating here. Ever.

Came for lunch and got Hainan chicken and the curry chicken dish with a soy matcha milk tea. The chicken was really tender and juicy in both dishes. Loved how the curry was creamy and contained a decent amount of vegetables. The soy matcha drink was good but I felt that it tasted more like soy than matcha. Would recommend

Compare to when I first visited green zone, it died down a lot here. I used to love their hainan chicken rice and satay beef pot. However, when I visited this time again, their portion and flavor definitely went down. My satay pot came cold. I told my waiter about it, they just reheated the pot for me instead of cooking a new fresh one for me. The pot also had barely any beef. It was more like a satay cabbage pot. My boyfriends hainan chicken rice was really small. Chicken was not as tender as when we came here in the old days. Portion also became really small. They only thing that we really liked was their salmon triangle. I was a little disappointed after this visit. Parking is still horrible here but wait time was short!

I found out about Green Zone through an instagram post but it was by accident that we ended up eating here last night. We had gone to a different restaurant and had left due to the horrible service. Luckily, Green Zone came to save the night by providing us with yummy food and great service. My partner and I ended up ordering the grilled veggies, the chicken hainan, and the pork chop The food was simple but well made, you can tell the quality of the ingredients that they use. The flavor was on point and the food is reasonably priced. I definite would recommend this place to my friends and I also plan on coming back.

I'm always here for their hainan chicken. It's organic, served skinless, and their chicken-flavored rice is too good. I'm not a fan of their sauces, but it does the job. The servers are always nice and I like how their water is always infused with citrus. Green Zone is a staple for hainan chicken in my book!

Ive been on a mission to try out all of the Hainan chicken spots in the 626 area and this one is my new favorite!! I love the quality of their chicken and the way that the rice is cooked. It doesn't taste oily and greasy like some places, which I really appreciate. The rice is cooked with lemongrass and I love the flavor of that. As for the sauces, they are pretty average, nothing too special about it but still good nonetheless. Our waiter was really nice, but not that attentive. We waited a good while for our waters and even longer to get/pay for our check. Not a huge deal because we weren't in a hurry. But, i am looking forward to coming back so that I can try the other things on the menu :^) orrrr maybe just get the same dish again because I love it so much
