I don’t get why this place has as good a rating status? It does. Maybe the sweet stuff I didn’t try are good? The savory dim sum pieces I got there not good and in fact, the bbq pork bun had the taste of oil rancid oil. And the fake shu mai was tough. Definitely do not recommend.

The shrimp dumplings are very good and more authentic than most morning tea shops in LA.

The original Happy Bakery was on Valley and 9th St. in Alhambra.I started going from 1990 - 2004. I moved away from Alhambra in 2004 to Los Angeles. I used to walk 1 minute to Happy Bakery to buy their custard tarts. I finally found them again in 2019 and have been going back for their custard tart. The custard tart is one of the best. Last year, I ordered a mango cake from them. It was delicious. The cream frosting was not too sweet and the cake was moist. The employees are all very nice. The price is not too expensive. Service is fast and accurate. Lots of parking on the street.

I found this store through Google map search, and tried it after reading the ratings. The first time, a grandma helped me get it, and there was no problem. The second time, the salesperson was replaced by an old man, and I got it. It feels like I don’t know how many nights have passed.
Pretty delicious, we did a quick drop here, and the service was fantastic. They were sold out of a lot by the time we got there but still had some good stuff. The pastry made here are some of the best.
Great food here

Quite good, but not perfection. I felt that their egg tarts were among the best I have tried, but beyond that, I felt the faire was merely on par. Additionally, I did notice some cleanliness concerns while visiting the shop. A fine bakery but room for improvement.
Purchases missing 2 buns yet that elderly owner still charges an extra for 2 buns not given $2.8 even when old owner knows truly
Sesame balls!
Delicious baked pastries
Went there around noon but sold out on Siu mai already. So bought har gao (shrimp dumplings) but they are dried despite warm. The five flower herb tea is quite sweet but lack of herb taste.
