Spend money here only if your nose is stuffed up because at least that way, you could blame the utter lack of taste on your cold. The soy sauce chicken and drunken chicken were both so bland that had I blindfolded myself, I probably couldn’t tell which was which. Yes. That bland. How do you bland-ify soy sauce or wine? Ask the cooks here for their secret recipe! Glad I only spent $14, but also pissed I spent $14.

Food is very average, service is very bad
We've never done take out here, but literally everything on the dine-in menu is fabulous and cooked perfectly--especially the pipa duck, when they have it. Roast duck is also great. Soy sauce chicken can't be beat anywhere in LA.
Apparently, they'll make anything you want if you call ahead. Lots of big parties on weekend evenings.
Highly recommended.
Restaurant is noisy; food is ok; service is excellent!
My favorite restaurant. Love their roasted duck. Million thanks to the boss that reserved last duck for me for Thanksgiving 💗💗💗 so my 7 months pregnant belly is full and happy 🥰

The shop front looked very deceiving and gives the impression of just another Chinese BBQ place. So I was pleasantly surprised when the food came.

The attitude of the staff and the cashier is really bad, and you'll be very angry when you experience it.

Hong Kong VIP Kitchen is a Chinese restaurant in San Gabriel, California. It is a mid size restaurant with comfortable seatings. The dinning room is clean. Jack, Paul and Cindy provided very good service. Their menu is mainly Cantonese style. I came to try their Roasted Duck with Black Truffle. A few pieces of black truffle was scattered on top.
The skin was crispy, the meat was moist and good flavor. There was a familiar black truffle aroma. This is the best roasted duck in Los Angeles. I will be back even just for this duck.

The best Chinese barbecue I don’t even speak English and they understood what I wanted to order. I recommend coming here.
