Mom needed bread so we checked this place out. Located in the San Gabriel Square, this tiny store is packed with lots of goodies. I always buy their handmade almond cookies and red bean swirl bun, so I made sure I got some. They also have moon cakes. Inside, the store is well-lighted, with regular noise level. The breads and pastries were arranged neatly, but the aisles are tight, you can’t walk freely in case you bump into another customer or the food items. There is no dine-in...
I have been going to this location for 20 years. I know every employee by their names?. Food quality , store cleanliness and service have been consistently great. Food has been excellent.
Growing up in Hong Kong, Kee Wah Bakery was a household name. I remember eating lots of their cakes and baked bread as a kid. Every time I'm in Los Angeles, I always try to pick up a few items before heading back to Sacramento.I really enjoy their handmade cookies, black sesame eggrolls (wafer rolls), and mango short cake. The hard part is not buying too much!The older ladies that work there are always friendly and chatty. Reminded me so much of Hong Kong!Parking can be tricky...
