Came here a couple of times and all our experiences were good! So far, we have tried Carne asada fries (so good), Mexicali tacos (chicken, al pastor, and shrimp tacos), dorados (chicken and potatoes. Good stuff), burrito and cachetada w/ al pastor ranchero style (with an egg) and their Vampiro lunch combo. This place really exceeded my expectations!Here are my top choices:1. Was looking for tacos in San gabriel and found Mexicali! Wow the food is fresh, horchata soo good—and I appreciate the canto cha siu meat as an option! Never had that in a taco and it’s delicious. The nachos are well supplied and has that guilty pleasure queso too. The fish tacos are big portions and again fresh. That’s the word of the day with Mexicali. Happy to support this small bipoc biz!!
