Food is so fun to eat. Those dry noodles are THICC. Amateur chopstick lovers prepare to get humbled lol the pork dumplings with Szechwan peppers are excellent - sweet. Beef noodle hits all your spots - comforting, not too heavy, tender beef chunks, and bok choy to clean it all up.
There’s an order of 3 sides w' wood ear mushrooms, radish, and something else... Yo - it's the BEST Way I've eaten wood ear mushrooms. Chilled with ginger/oil. As a mushroom lover it's my least favorite for being too rubbery but theyade me a changed man

Overall the flavors remain good, not excellent or outstanding -- nothing really "popped" on this visit. The spice levels are on the low side, and ordered something level 4 only to ask for additional chilli oil. I highly recommend the level 5 (maximum) cold noodles. The side of ribs is really good value, especially with a little extra chili. I miss the little metal mung bean tea mugs. The wait staff was helpful, attentive, and patient with my large party including children and elderly. The online ordering system was somewhat random (not a very common PoS system, a bit confusing to use) and felt very impersonal, a lot like being in China. Overall the experience was a solid 4 stars. The clean and warm decor pushed it up to a 4.2.

Mian restaurant has noodles like no other in the San Gabriel valley. I like the very spicy noodles. Mian located in a plaza. The renovation is modern.

Food was good but don't expect much service, specialy when you are not asian. Waiter just brought the food and end of my meal he came to me for payment, never asked if food was ok or if we need more water etc. No smile. On top of that he asks me if I am going to leave a cash tip. Total no respect. I will never EVER go back there.

Authentic, spicy, and absolutely delicious! This place nails it with their noodles—perfectly cooked with the right amount of kick. The flavors are bold, just like you’d expect from a top-tier Chinese noodle spot. The atmosphere is clean and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy a hearty meal. If you’re craving authentic Chinese noodles with a real punch, this is the spot.

Mian is our regular go-to restaurant. Our children have a preference for their zha Jiang mian, chicken soup noodle, steamed eggs and crispy pork. For us, we enjoy the spicy sour beef noodle. Occasionally, we may add side noodles to it and they will add soup if you request. The ordering process through QR code is straightforward and simple. Our servers are proficient in English, which can potentially alleviate any issues that might arise due to incorrect food choices.

Originally from Vancouver and went on a vacation to LA and my friends friend recommended this place. For the price it’s very affordable and portions are huge. Service is good too. The only downside is that it’s quite far especially if you’re coming down from downtown LA but overall pretty worth it!

You order using QR at the table. The food was really delicious. I ate black bean paste and beef noodles, and they handed me a large bowl of meat and told me to take a handful of the meat. I was upset because my hands were small...
I think it would be better if there was a set amount!
I really enjoyed the jjajang. I think it was Chengdu Zajiang Noodles. I had only eaten Korean-style jjajang in Korea, but when I tried this, I was surprised because it tasted completely new, and I liked it more.
The portions of both were just right. I ate well and was full~
I visited on a weekday evening. There weren't many people lining up
There were a lot of people in the store! There is also a small outdoor table.
Toilet use the building's restroom. It was clean!

Good food especially for the price. Not an amazing place for vegetarians but you do have 1-2 options. I got the cold noodles, which were just noodles with chili oil, green onions and an optional fried egg. The taste is great but does get a bit old (and also numbs your tongue a bit due to the schezuan spices).
Vegetarian options: 1-2 vegetarian options, not a lot of vegetables or toppings but you can order sides like bok choy

was looking for something light hearted on my last day of my LA trip and this definitely got the job done. you can definitely order something more flavorful but i was looking for bland and clear so pls don’t hate. it’s really cool how you can adjust the “mala” aka numbness of the broth along with the spice level. when we went it wasn’t that busy but as soon as we started eating the whole place was packed. ig
u can call us lucky
