When I ate here many years ago, the food was very good. However, after eating here again, I noticed the quality of the food has gone down. I ordered the deluxe vegetable dish, the tofu with brown sauce, and the classic lobster. The vegetables were extremely bland and tasted like there was no seasoning at all. The tofu was also fairly bland and barely had any salt. The lobster was not bad.
Service was very nice, at least. This isn't the fault of the restaurant staff, but the noise level can get quite high as there tend to be many large groups who are celebrating.
Parking: The parking lot can get packed when it's busy, but there is plenty of street parking.

Went here for lunch with some family and friends. The atmosphere and service were alright. The menu was very extensive for a Chinese restaurant. We ordered a whole bunch of items. My personal favorite was the kung pao chicken. The other dishes were also good as well. Overall, a good experience.

I’ve dreamed about Newport Seafood for a couple years now. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been here. So, I found a friend who just had a birthday that I missed as my excuse to head east from LA. Normally, I’d go for the lobster but she was bout that crab life. Nabbed that up and a plate of the walnut skrimps that should be a schedule 1 drug. Of course you gotta balance it out with some veg (Chinese broccoli) and when in seafood… some clams. Way more than enough for two but it’s a nice surprise for your friends later back at home! Make a resy and get your booty over to Newport Seafood! And don’t forget a side of rice!
Vegetarian options: Broccoli, string beans, rice, cucumbers, and more.

Noisy. Good food. Haven’t been back for a while. They actually make improvement. The waiter is easily flagged down. Somebody come refill the water and replace the plate without us asking. Unusual for Chinese restaurants which is well known for the lousy services. The dinning room is clean. The valet parking take some hassle out.

Delicious food, decent atmosphere. Service was lacking though, never checked on us during the entire meal so we’re were waiting for water refills to no avail. Also at the end, when we asked for a container for the leftovers that would allow us to take something saucy so asked for the plastic soup container instead of usual paper box, but the waiter flat out refused and said to trust him that putting the saucy one in the paper box will not leak. Of course we’ve had a lifetime of experience taking home leftovers and know how disastrous it is to get home to find sauce all over the bag and all over the over leftover boxes. Anyway, skimping on giving us another container and or flat out laziness was poor form.

Worth every penny. Highly recommend. This place is authentic. And it'll help if you go with someone who speaks Chinese. But that's because we were the only non-Chinese patrons there (my assumption based on the observation that I only heard ppl speak Chinese).
When I looked around, the tables were all full even though it was like 3 p.m. And each table was full of food !!!! These are expensive too. So you know the native patrons appreciate these dishes.
I also noticed that some people were taking home "the sauce." This can mean only one thing: the sauce cannot be replicated at home.
Anyhow. If you are looming for authentic Chinese seafood, this place will not disappoint.
100% going back. My aunt paid on this occasion after I passed an exam. But I'm going to rake my out-of-state visitors here from hereon.

The shrimp sashimi was fresh and luxurious, and the generous portion of lobster was also very delicious.
The best restaurant for entertaining customers!

The environment at the entrance looks a bit like a domestic restaurant, and it is true after entering. It is very Chinese and Cantonese, and the dishes are mostly Cantonese. 8 people ordered a red grouper, a lobster, a crab, beef, and vegetables. The squid and steamed red grouper are quite satisfactory, not much different from the steamed sea bass, but the price is very high, 160 US dollars. The Newport style of lobster is not as delicious as I thought. The ingredients are in vain, and the crab tastes like onion and ginger. It shouldn't be too bad, it's just average. It's not even as delicious as in China. I'm very disappointed. The beef is very tender, but the seasonings all over it are not fragrant enough. The squid is fried very old, which makes people lose their appetite, especially the vegetables. Failed. Vegetables are very expensive abroad. However, you still managed to cook such a dish. I was really drunk. The cooking skills of the cook were mediocre as shown by the stir-fried vegetables. It was a very disappointing meal. The overall consumption was US$524.
