I had been looking forward to trying this place forever before coming for my lunch yesterday, but it's not really anything special when compared with other hot pot restaurants in the area. Except that some items are offered on skewers; that adds up fast, though.
You can order off the menu, however get most of your food from the fridge.
Firstly, their pork bone broth was actually flavorful, whereas it seems to be pretty bland at other places I've had it at. I also ordered lamb and angus beef, which came out frozen and tasted fine. I liked my tomato soup as well.
I believe their noodles are handmade, so I enjoyed those. One serving was enough for me.
Probably wouldn't come back, considering how many hot pot restaurants we have in this area.

The quality of the old-style Malatang Chuanchuan is still the same, but the crowds are no longer what they used to be. You can get as much as you want without wasting or over-consumption, which is very in line with today's social status.
