Enjoyed the lamb skewers , missed the bread as they did not have enough employees to cook. The Kung Pao chicken is the beat with the Kung pao beef. The food was great the service excellent.
Great food !
Omar has switched to takeout-only post pandemic but such a relief to see that this place has stayed open because the family and the flavors are special. Big plate chicken and meat pie are a must.Order 40 min ahead of time to be safe, but don't skip Omar :-)Complex, aromatic and unique but also homey, handmade and reassuring food that comes in generous portions.
The most ridiculous restaurant in Alhambra. DO NOT TRY! I ordered a Noodle and pilaf online, left my phone number before checkout. Was only told they do not have Pilaf now when I went pickup. Was not offered any other option, didn’t receive a phone call to tell me this fact. And on top of that, still charged me $1 convenience fee for ordering on their own website!!Several days later, I tried to order noodle from them, this time I chose to call. They told me they ran out of dough today. It’s 630pm and they are done for the day, and they don’t open for Tue and Wed. What a joke, if you are not gonna work just shut it down!!
Drove an hour to visit this restaurant for XinJiang food, very disappointed, and I don't recommend based on my experience.别信小红书的推荐(don't trust social media)1. No dine-in option, but not informed anywhere.2. Staff got 2 out of my 3 items wrong in my order. Asked for spicy cold chicken and got lamb kebabs ($10 for 2 skewers), they spoke Chinese, so we communicated in Chinese, How do you mix up chicken and lamb?? I ordered lamb ribs (more expensive) and got lamb shank instead. The guy who took my order was either sloppy or the cooks were too lazy to make the dishes and just throw in some substitutes.3. I found out the wrong item after drove home, so I called the business and the guy who took my order straight up told me "oh the chief forgot to cook the spicy cold chicken, but we charged you for lamb kebabs which is the same price and gave you the kebabs." Yes, without asking me ahead of time! so he knew what was going on and didn't say a thing about it when I picked up my order.Food was okay, but definitely not worth the money. There was no business at dinner time on a Saturday, and now I understood why that is.
Love the dumplings and lamb kabob. Authentic and delicious options. Highly recommended.
So freaking good. Absolutely authentic food. As good as it gets.
(Translated by Google) Called at 6 o'clock to order a take-out, said 30 minutes, wait until 7 o'clock and it's not ready! I don't recommend this place if you are in a hurry to eat in or take out.(Original)6点打电话订的外带 说30分钟 等到7点还没好!不管堂食还是外带心急的不建议这家。
(Translated by Google) [Exploring LA] There is also a big plate of chicken in Luo VillageThe word "authentic" was invented by the people of Shanghai, as opposed to "Daxing", because in the past there was a "Daxing Street" in Shanghai that sold fake and shoddy things, from "goods from Daxing Street" to "Daxing Goods" to " Daxing", which is specially used to refer to "unauthentic".Food is sometimes authentic, sometimes not. Xiao Yang Shengjian and Din Taifeng are considered "unauthentic" Shengjian and Xiaolong by Shanghai people, because Shanghai people have a basic understanding of Shengjian and Xiaolong; however, if you tell me, "Authentic Sichuan cuisine is not spicy. ", I just want to say "Who cares?", yes, who cares that Chengdu food should be non-spicy? People have eaten spicy Sichuan food for at least one or two hundred years, but you want to say it's authentic? Authentic Chinese women even have their feet bound!Authentic, what is authentic? Or original? I think it should be the former. Haipai Western food is not authentic Western food at all, but everyone thinks it is delicious, so that's fine. The authentic Xinjiang cuisine is not spicy, but a little sour. Because Xinjiang is rich in tomatoes, but there are not many other vegetables, so a lot of tomatoes are used when cooking. The earliest Dapan chicken is similar in color to the current Dapan chicken. Put a lot of tomatoes. But that was also a long, long time ago. People in Xinjiang would also eat some spicy peppers when it was introduced to Xinjiang, but it was not as spicy as Sichuan, Hunan, and Jiangxi. So if I say that chicken stewed with tomato and potato is a big plate of chicken, many people will think that I crazy. The new version, which is the popular version of Dapan Chicken, is a spicy version. It uses two kinds of chili peppers, two vitex sticks and bullet heads. The former is excellent for fragrant and the latter is spicy, and there are more fast and economical versions, even without the use of whole chickens. Chicken wings, use Pixian Douban instead of chili, simple and rude.In an underdeveloped area, it is meaningless to say that the dishes are authentic. There are tiger dishes in Xinjiang restaurants all over the country, but they are simply Northeastern dishes. You have to discuss whether the tiger dishes are authentic Xinjiang restaurants or not. Onion is an authentic Xinjiang dish, isn't it enough to support it?However, some things, some foods, have to be authentic. Dapan chicken can do whatever you want, but halal Dapan chicken can't be random, you must meet the halal requirements. When you are away from home, if you can't find a reliable store, going to a halal restaurant is a safe choice. Some people say that halal is a religious concept, not a food concept. They also say that "whether food is clean or not depends on raw materials, production environment, process technology, transportation links, and sales. The so-called "clean" of halal is actually 'clean' in the religious sense. It's not "clean" in physics. The first half of this sentence is completely correct, but it's just the last sentence, because halal requires every link in "raw materials, production environment, process technology, transportation and sales" to be clean. It is the method of ensuring food safety as much as possible when the sanitation conditions are poor; Judaism also has similar teachings, using religious methods to stipulate the handling and cooking of food, which are all methods to ensure that the food is clean and will not rot and deteriorate. Therefore, today's halal salt and halal water are basically the same thing. Salt and water will not rot, so why should they be halal? Some people will say, doesn't Judaism also have "kosher salt"? Do you often see "kosher salt" in recipes? That's for wiping off blood from animals, not the salt itself is kosher. After t
The hand pulled noodles have the best soup I’ve ever eaten, and I make soup for a living. It’s so good I felt like I knew nothing. Amazing.
