Unsanitary place. They bowls the server brought out were dirty. The dipping sauce for the chicken pho literally tasted rotten, like it's been sitting out for too long. My partner got the chicken salad and he said the dressing was very bland. Also, it took them a very long time to bring out the salad. By the time it was brought out, I was done eating my pho. The chicken pho was okay, hence the extra star.

Pho ga was just amazing. Staff was very friendly. Can't wait to come back to try everything off the menu. I just know it's all good.

UPDATE: Have always loved this place, but. (Pics for reference, please!) I placed a quick lunch order today: Spring rolls, chicken salad, and hai noi; all with no mint. Picked it up now problem, left an 18% CASH tip on a local pick up order. The order had full mint. Ok.. a bummer, but totally workable. My first bite into the FIRST spring rolls had a massivly long, thick black hair rolled into the full length of the roll. (Updated Photos for reference.) I tried calling the shop immediately, since I'm literally down the street but never got an answer. I don't expect I'll go bacK. UPDATE x2: Second Spring roll wasn't deveined. I've attempted to call back/reorder 3 times. I also attemted the chicken salad and was immediately put off. I gave it a little while, thinking it was my own pallet after the shrimp, and tied again.. and again.. and again. I feel confident in saying that there was something off with my chicken salad, especially compared to our past order. UPDATE x3: Third Spring roll seemed ok and the TWO SINGULAR shrimp-halves were decently cooked. HOWEVER, I'm beginning to wonder if they misunderstood my request for "No Mint" as "Please, pile on the leftovers you have into this order." (See updated pics.)

Do you need a warm hug? Then try their house special chicken noodle soup. It's not your typical pho ga, it's not your typical soup to be sure. The broth is complex and flavorful, surely a sign of homemade stock slowly simmered for hours with fresh chicken (you know... the *super fresh chicken* you get in the SGV). Their broth could rival your grandmothers or your moms, cause it's likely a family recipe with origins of someone's grandmother. But we all know who would win - your grandma/ mom's. Cause we know - they have a special ingredient that restaurants simply do not have: Love. All that said, this place would take a very close second place. The noodle soup comes with a small dish of fresh dipping sauce hints of bright ginger and herbs. They also have a wonderful shrimp and pork rice roll wrap, with a side sliced pork sausage, and fried onion on top. Enjoy this with their homemade sauce!

So delicious! Had the best pho ga and goi cuon ever (shrimp & pork rice sheet rolls). The fried shallots really made this special. Also ended up getting some homemade peanut/black sesame mochi they were selling in a ziplock bag which sounds sketch but was the best decision I made. Highly recommend! Parking was easy as well (spaces in the back as well as street parking).

This is my favorite place for chicken pho because the soup has a rich, full broth. The nearby places have a flat broth that taste empty (i.e., salty, but not fulfilling) as if they were using buillon seasoning than chicken parts to make soup. It comes standard with fresh, medium-width rice noodles. One out of five times, I'll add a bit of fish sauce for more salt to my PHK broth. The other four out of five times, I think it's a lovely broth that's so comforting I want to share with a sick friend or eat on a cold day.If you like chicken offals (giblets, liver, and heart), PHK 100% of the time cooks them perfectly tender! I haven't once said this is too hard, too irony, or tastes old. If I had to introduce someone to offals, this is the best place to try.My complaints...The chicken is acceptable. I would never turn down PHK chicken. It's tender and juicy, however, it's not a beautiful silkie chicken. I like their garnish (cilantro, green onion, thinly sliced onions, bean sprouts), but there could be more. Their ginger sauce is okay--a delicate ginger flavor with background umami from the fish sauce--good, but not life changing. My husband isn't a fan of any pho, so we've been trying the Bun Hanoi (aka Obama Noodles). PHK HAS THE BEST BUN HANOI because: (1) they have a complex and well-balanced sauce--a less pungent fish sauce vinaigrette--that's almost drinkable (sweet+salty+sour+umami!); (2) they take the time to grill the marinated meat, so the dish has more texture. Other places will bake the meat or maybe stir-fry to cook, but neither of those methods give the bbq-ness and crispy edges from being grilled.I've tried many other places again and again, and yet, I keep coming back to PHK because it consistently delivers a well-rounded chicken broth and perfectly cooked offals. The bun hanoi stands out as a great alternative with just as much thought in its execution.

Pho Ga (chicken), fresh and deciduous as usual. Haven't been able to eat out at this location but I'm so glad they are still open. They offer different types of rice noodles so we got 5 orders of Pho Thit Ga with the thick noodle and 2 orders with the thin pho noodles. Everything was packed neatly included utensils and napkins. The guy even helped me carry my order to my car. Hand sanitizer is provided at the register.

I'm not normally a chicken pho person but dang their chicken pho really hit the spot, especially during this cold weather. Prices are fair, good amount of noodles, meat is about normal size. Service was very prompt (took about 7 minutes!) and appreciated the courtesy.

Delicious chicken pho from a mom and pop resto. Honestly, hole-in-the-wall businesses need attention (especially during these difficult times)! This is my second time ordering takeout, and I gotta say. This is a place with no frills, but very good service and even better food! Just echoing off other Yelpers: -Chicken pho is full-bodied broth with lots of noodles and plenty of meat -Banh cuon is deliciously filled and topped with the addictive fried shallots I loooooove. SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESSES!!!

A classic hole in the wall spot that has bomb food. I tried the Bun Rieu, Banh Cuon, Goi Ga, and Pho Ga and everything was really great. Their staff was very friendly and nice as well. I will definitely be coming back.

Hidden gem! Pros: 1. The pork chop rice is tasty and you get a lot of meat for a very reasonable price! 2. The banh cuon pork rice rolls are the best I've ever had. Very thin and soft with lots of toppings. Cons: 1. The restaurant doesn't look that inviting, but it's the food that counts (esp. now that everything is take-out only).

Vietnamese Soul Food! Come for the chicken and leave with a smile. Hands down the best chicken pho and goi cuon in SoCal. Goi Cuon is shrimp and pork steamed rice rolls. Just like the streets of Vietnam. Two of the pictures are examples of how the rice paper is made. It's not what you would think of when restaurants use the round pre made rice paper that is dipped in hot water then gets softer. No no no lol This is made over a special steamed hot plate and made fresh to order. Just how it's made in Vietnam.
