Don't order Guobao Pork. Northeastern cuisine can actually make Guobao Pork like this. It's really shameful.

Food prices are cheap, servers are nice and food arrives quick, and the food itself tastes authentic. Large portion sizes.

This is the go to place of my friend who lives close to the restaurant. We’ve been to this place for more than 5 times. We didn’t take any photo because we will finish them right away. Generally, it is that good. Perfect for casual eating.

Very authentic Northeastern cuisine. The fried pork slices and pot-roasted pork are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The three kinds of fried pork are also delicious. The price is affordable and the service is very good. It is really worth recommending.Parking: Parking available at the door

I had the pleasure of dining at Shenyang Tasty in San Gabriel, CA, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The restaurant's inviting atmosphere, attentive staff, and, most importantly, the delicious food made it a memorable visit. Their menu showcases the rich flavors of northeastern Chinese cuisine, and the dishes are expertly prepared.I highly recommend trying their hand-pulled noodles; they are a true delight. The dumplings were also a standout, bursting with flavor. Whether you're a fan of spicy or milder dishes, Shenyang Tasty has something for everyone. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. Overall, Shenyang Tasty is a gem in the San Gabriel culinary scene. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delectable offerings. If you're looking for an authentic and delicious taste of Chinese cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit.

Super delicious! We ordered a variety of dishes, and some of the most pleasantly surprising ones were:1. Sweet and Sour Pork (each piece was just the right size, very crispy but not hard, and the sweet and sour flavor was perfect).2. Cumin Chicken Wings (very flavorful with just the right amount of cumin, they seemed to be fried and had a bit of crispiness).3. Sour Cabbage Stew with Pork (unexpectedly delicious, the pork was tender, and it paired perfectly with the sour cabbage).4. Northeastern-style Cold Jellyfish Salad (the mustard flavor might have been a bit strong, and it would be even better if the sesame sauce was a bit heavier, but the jellyfish was chewy without feeling heavy). Finally, we tried some candied hawthorns on a stick (my first time trying them, they were very sour, but the sourness was balanced with a hint of sweetness, and they were quite delicious). The only commend was that the restaurant seemed a bit old, but I hope they can open a new one in Irvine in the future."

I just finished my 5-day fasting, thus really has no appetite. I was debating to get this sour cabbage pork stew or something else from Korean restaurant. Finally I decided to give it try with the mindset worst case I'll order something else. Ordered via delivery app, and I got my food pretty fast! I did call ahead to make sure they make the way I like. The staff in the restaurant is awesome, and listened to my requirements. First - the portion is huge. I ordered one stew but comes with two bowl. That's how big the portion is. Taste- great! 80% like what I had in Northern China before. Awesome! I am very satisfied with the meal. And I would definitely want to come back again with my family. Worth to mention: the dish costs a lot cheaper if you can pick up instead of through delivery app.

Good is salty, the lamb skewer taste good but pricy.Service is soso. The very worst thing is the waitress chased is out for more tips, we tipped 10% due to we have to ask several times before rice/water served. The waitress pointed the suggested tip amt (down receipt there is 15% and 20% amt showing) we didn't end up adding the tip we said it is our freedom to tip how much.

Ok, so the cold noodle isn't bad, so is the lamb bbq. However the food was a bit saltyyyyyyyyyyyyy, and the place isn't as clean as other restaurants. Here is the kicker, the waitress / owner chase out people who doesn't give "enough" tips, like almost every table they chase after them (chased us also.) for 3 Bucks.

Worst service ever. The waitress had no idea what she was doing, and she even got into an argument with the customers behind us. For an entire 10 mins, all I could hear was her awful voice repeating the same thing over and over again. Then, when she came over to bring our food, she slammed the plate on our table... so rude. Food quality is medium, but the portions are small! The food was not even enough to cover up the bottom of the plate....
