Been here a few times on a Sunday evening and is always lonely but have always gotten great service. Sushi rolls are made quick and fresh. Spicy garlic edamame is great. Love this spot for a quick sushi fix.

First Time here and it was amazing. Let start off with the customer service ! The guy at the door who attended us from beginning to end was great and very attentive. Also had a great experience I never had tried Sake and it is very tasty! The prices are great and food is 10/10 ! I highly recommend this place !

Made a long drive to come and try this place only to find out it was closed despite their hours being "open."

Great quality sushi at a reasonable price! Highly recommend if you're in the San Gabriel Valley.

The fusion rolls here are really bad, like pretty much what you'd get when you buy supermarket sushi. The spider crab roll and eel roll pretty much tasted the same, cold, nothing special, covered in that thick salty soy sauce that masks any flavor. The tempura udon was not anything special, it felt like you could make it at home. The karage was over fried. We were so disappointed and surprised by the good review this place had. Maybe the raw stuff is better but avoid this place for the fusion stuff.

The best Sushi I've ever had. Incredibly fresh. Service was outstanding. Will be back whenever I visit the area.

I don’t expect this place to stay in business much longer. They are inattentive- busy watching TV. Not the best way to run a business! Also the sushi is substandard, and for the first time ever, I didn’t even finish my sushi!!

Delicious fresh sashimi, good sushi variety and appetizers with very reasonable prices. Great service. We will return again. Sorry, no pics, since I decided to write this review afterwards.

According to other reviewers, management of Shinju has changed. However, the quality and affordability of their food remains the same. I came Friday night around 5:30pm with a friend for dinner and we were seated immediately. There seemed to be only one server on the floor, but she was quick and efficient in her job, especially as the restaurant filled up by 6. We got two rolls (Yellow Fever and the Shinju, my personal favorite) as well as two hand rolls. The fish was still very fresh and I thoroughly enjoyed my food. My only complaint was that both rolls were a little over sauced, but still delicious.

I made a last minute reservations for sushi at Shinju Sushi on a Monday night. Usually, Mondays are the worst day for sushi since most Japanese restaurants are closed. Located on the corner of San Gabriel and Las Tunas it's in a retail shopping center. After we arrived, it became apparent that this restaurant is a 4 person show. The one server/ host/ cashier was trying to keep up with the 3/4 filled room. One sushi chef was trying to keep up with the sushi orders and I assume the kitchen was trying get out all the orders and help with busing the tables. Luckily, we got in our order early Ama Ebi Kurodai Hirame Ika roe Salmon belly Oysters Parking is available in the center. They need to hire some staff.

Best sushi spot in San Gabriel. I usually order blue crab hand roll and tiger roll. There are pretty good size and price. I wish they are opened lunch weekday.

Came here on a Sunday night at 6p to dine-in, and it wasn't busy at all. Smaller crowds started rolling in 30min later. Fish tastes fresh, and their specialty rolls are yummy! I got the Tiger Roll, Yellow Fever Roll, Spider Roll, and the Spicy Tuna Crispy. I'll be coming back here to try some other ones on the menu! The restaurant is in a plaza, and there is a parking lot.
