I’ve been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years with my family. Amazing, very authentic Shanghainese food (the chef grew up in changning qu!) with incredible staff all around. Hard to pick a favorite dish, but you’d be best off ordering the regional dishes over something more generic!My personal favorites are the 葱烤鲤鱼, 上海小排骨 and the 上海炒年糕 :)
This place really deserves a better rating. Of the 20+ Chinese places in the SGV I’ve gone with my family, this is the one we have to go back to every time we’re in town. Their cooking is comforting and self-assured — light but not bland, balanced expertly between salty, umami, and a hint of sweet. Amazing place to find some authentic Shanghai food. The food here was actually better than expected after reading all the reviews. Staff was super nice and lost of quick service. The place might be small but it is definitely worth the wait.
