I had the popular dish of short ribs and oxtail. It was pretty good, but the ox tail was a little tough still. Some of the ribs were fall off the bone tender. For $99, I think I would have chosen something different. Potatoes and carrots made it a bit healthier, which is good. Ban chan was nice. Spicy chives were unique. I like the pickled onions and jalapeños.

Sun Nong Dan really hit the spot. Their Korean soups and meat dishes are packed with flavor and perfect for a comforting meal. I was especially surprised by how good the Mul Mandu (dumplings) were—stuffed with a generous mix of meat and vermicelli, and super flavorful. The dumpling skin had a nice chewy texture without being too thick.

A must-visit spot in LA! Sung Nong Dan is hands down my favorite restaurant in the city. The food is consistently incredible, and I always bring friends here whenever someone visits from out of town and it never disappoints!
Our server Alex was especially wonderful, super friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the meal. He even took the time to help us cut our short ribs, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
