Food was ok. The Koh Galbi Jjim was enough though share between 3-4 people. The Teuk Galbi Tang was simple but was good. The side dishes were a bit in a sweeter side, glad it wasn't overly salty. The service was great and quick. Loud Korean music played, clean restaurant.

Best Galbi Jjim in LA! More space at this location with easier parking. Cheese probably isn't necessary but hard to pass up the torch show.

Imma get straight to the point if u go here and u ain't in the soup mood this is what you get -- the expensive ass shareable sizzling boiling pot of all sorts of different types of meat that will melt in your mouth layered with seasoned soft potatoes and carrots and onions and most importantly tteotboki and probably more stuff. Cheese is an add on and costs more but worth it! They said it feeds 2-3 ppl but nah there was 5 of us and we still didn't finish it!!! Split amongst 5 people it was like 25 bucks per person worth it! Restaurant is small but cozy and kinda transports you to a village I like it! Service was fast and so friendly totally worth it. Also not to be weird the dude with the tatted arm was hot.

A 24/7 goodness!!!!! What!!! That could be dangerous. Prepare to spend because #25 is worth it. Great for groups because you have to share the dishes here. It is simply too enormous for just two, but because taste is great and ban Chan dishes are great as well, you see couples coming here to eat and share no matter the size. Busy weekend was a wait but they do their best making the wait go by fast. There's beer and soju available here to cleanse that palate from all the beef taste. There's too much to enjoy here!

Updated to 4 stars after trying the #2 Chadol Sulung Tang ($18.99), aka brisket ox bone soup. I don't usually like sulung tang/seolleongtang, but the version at Sun Nong Dan actually changed my mind. Their version is less thick, with a more flavorful bone stock. It came with the same thick-cut pieces of brisket found in their galbi tang. The meat was soft, with little pockets of meat surrounded by connective tissue. It was not as flavorful since the point of seolleongtang is to be healthier; you salt the soup to your preference at the table. However, the meat had more flavor the next day since I stored it with my leftover broth. The sulung tang came with thin wheat noodles by default. I prefer the glass noodles, which are chewy and umami. For $9.99, the extra meat came with a generous portion of brisket. However, the extra $2 for wheat noodles was not worth it to me. For my choice of rice, I usually get the brown rice (it's actually purple). Sometimes the rice is half-mushy. Other times, it's perfectly chewy. The saltiness of the banchan also varies; I feel like the radish one is too salty half the time. You usually only get pickled onion, kimchi, and radish kimchi, but one time we received a tasty chive kimchi. I wasn't imagining the toughness of the short rib in the galbi tang! When my friend ordered it, his hands shook as he applied enough pressure to remove the meat. I wish I could just get their galbi tang with brisket only.

Food was great. Price was a bit high but the quality was commensurate to the price. We took the rest home and had more meals. Actually tasted better the second time around.

Always my late night go to never fails me. Been to multiple locations and they remain consistent.

Delicious short ribs, a literal fire show, and open 24/7. I came with a friend group of four and the Large Galbi Jjim was just the right amount for us. The place is usually super packed so we were lucky to have come during lunch time on a rainy day. My first time having this dish was at Sun Nong Dan and I've been to lots of locations ever since. I've been to Sun Nong Dan's after long vacations and long drives; it always meets the mark and hits the spot. This one in San Gabriel was especially great or maybe it just gets better every time! The Sung Nong Dan Galbi Jjim specialty comes with braised beef short ribs, back ribs, oxtail, rice cakes, peppers, potatoes, and carrots. It arrives in a large stone cauldron with cheese on top. A team member will light it up for you for a fun fire show using a blowtorch. The giant dish is paired with a unique sauce that's soy-based with onions, garlic, and chilies give the dish an extra kick! It's warm, hearty, and best enjoyed with great company and a big tummy to fill you up. I can't praise Galbi Jjim more - I love it so much! Sun Nong Dan is definitely a staple on my list of cozy, delicious Korean food. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a hearty meal at any time of day or night.

For 2 people to pay a $130 for a lunch. It is ridiculous for one plate.Ten piece of meat and the meat could not be chewed or swallowed. You people give business to this garbage restaurant. That's why they are giving you bad service.Old vegetable on the food is not cooked correctly.

Got the 갈비찜 (steamed Kalbi/ribs with the flame-torched cheese) & 양지설렁탕 (beef strip soup). Does the cheese really at flavor and texture to the 갈비찜? Not sure, but the pyro in me thinks it's cool ??But to not detract from the namesake, with the hypothetical etymology lesson I won't get into, get the 설렁탕.

They're one of the very few restaurants open later than 9pm so not many choices for late diners! Their signature shareable beef short ribs/oxtails are a must - tried both spicy and regular - all good. The potatoes soak up all the flavors and decisions with very bite. Add extra rice cake for the fam. New item - dumpling rice cake and steamed are both delicious too! Generous with ban chans/ side dishes are a plus! That was enough for party of 6!

Their food is always good! Excellent and quick service! The pricing increased quite a bit... a bit too expensive for what they serve.

I was incredibly upset by how long it took for our meal to come out at SunNongDan restaurant. I've never experienced such a lengthy wait for food before, and it really affected my overall enjoyment of the dining experience.

Open 24 hours . This restaurant is a must if you're hungry late at night and craving soup. They serve big portions at reasonable prices.
