Tuesday 9/16/25 Lunch at Young Dong Tofu house with my friend Victoria. Ordered the Korean beef ribs, fried fishes, and oysters tofu soup with the side dishes. Very tasty. I’ve enjoyed every bites.

The female service staff was nice, attentive, and service us quickly.

This is hands down the best tofu soup and bibimbap I’ve ever had in the U.S.!
Their Spicy Octopus Bibimbap is absolutely delicious – tender, flavorful octopus with just the right amount of spice, perfectly mixed with fragrant rice. The Oyster Tofu Soup is a must-try too, with a rich, sweet, and savory broth, fresh plump oysters, and silky-soft tofu that warms both the stomach and the heart.

The side dishes are just as amazing — the kimchi is fresh and flavorful, the seaweed is perfectly seasoned, and the bean sprouts with a hint of black pepper have a delightful crunch and aroma.

The staff here are always incredibly friendly and welcoming. I’ve been here countless times and it never disappoints. Reasonable prices, generous portions, and consistently great flavors make this my go-to spot for Korean comfort food.

Highly recommend whether you’re dining with friends or enjoying a solo meal — you won’t regret it!

Absolutely delicious! Young Dong Tofu never disappoints. The Galbi was perfectly grilled—tender, flavorful, and just the right amount of char. The Oyster Tofu Soup was also outstanding—rich, comforting, and packed with fresh oysters. Everything came out hot and fast, and the banchan was fresh and plentiful. Great service and a cozy, no-frills atmosphere make this spot a go-to for Korean comfort food. Highly recommend!

Had dinner here with my wife, dad, and mom — absolutely delicious! 🍲🔥 Every dish was packed with flavor and served piping hot. The tofu soup was rich and comforting, the BBQ short ribs were perfectly grilled, and the spicy chicken was juicy and full of kick. Side dishes were fresh and plentiful, just like how a good Korean spot should be. Portions were generous and everything felt well worth the price. Will definitely be back — 5 stars all the way!

This place is a well kept secret. Great service, super fast, and amazing food. The mushroom tofu soup was fantastic! You’ll barely be able to walk from all the food and spend just over $20.

Food was god but many for some people it may be to strong and don’t order the rice with seasons octopus. There is not even a little bit of actual octopus in it. Though I see why the tofu soup is top one in San Gabriel it can be very very pricy though so I recommend it but texture is a bit off . So several I give a 3.5 ⭐️

All I can say is wow. This is such a cool place. The food blew me away. No wait to be seated on a Thursday evening. Service was fast. Drinks were good. A really fun place to go with a group of friends. I got the mushroom tofu soup and am aching to go back and get it again.

We were getting lunch. We waited for an hour to get to our seat. Once we did, the waiter didn’t guide us to a table. He just said corner table down the right, so we sat down. They didn't specify which table. We sat down and then the waiter used an extremely rude voice and said we were sitting at the wrong table. He didn’t even led us to the table. He kicked us to a different table and then place the people you came after us to the table we were sitting on. The food overall wasn’t that bad until lately they have been cheating. They put a lot of white rice in the purple rice and the tea has been poured with water. They have been cutting the portions of the flood which they didn’t do before. Every portion has been cut and the quality isn’t as good a before. Please check your waiters attitude and don’t cut the food portions.

Amazing soondubu spot! Can’t go wrong with any of the tofu soups or bibimbap. They automatically serve you hot barley tea and ice water which was much appreciated! We went at 5pm on a weekday and there wasn’t a wait at all. Service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back!

3 stars because I still enjoy this place and its usually pretty good, but don’t go late. They open till 11pm but we showed up at 10 and they said that they’re “out of rice”. It’s pretty much a given they’re not out of rice. Management decided they had enough business didn’t want to make anymore. Pretty frustrating as we were looking forward it. Don’t set your hours to 11pm on Fri/Sat if you don’t want to be open late.

I really like this Korean restraurant. Although I had to wait, it did not take as long as they had said. Under thirty minutes for a table of five Sunday night. The food came pretty quick and workers are nice!
The portions are really large! Or definitely worth the price. My group ended up over ordering because we did not realize how much food each order was. It was alright tho because we just had the leftovers for breakfast!!!
