I stopped by for breakfast and the service was great, I really enjoyed my ham and cheese omelette ??, the pancakes were ok and they give you 2 big biscuits. I left the restaurant full and the price was right.

always tired

I absolutely loved my experience here. I went with a classic breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes, and everything was cooked to perfection. The flavors were amazing, and the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. I sat at the “bar” and found myself in a warm, welcoming environment where chatting with fellow diners felt completely natural. The place has a real sense of community, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. I highly recommend it for both the food and the atmosphere!

This is a classic casual local diner. We had the Breakfast Special with biscuits & gravy, and the Chicken Fried Steak. Both were quite nice! The gravy was thick and flavorful (a little floury for my preference, but very well seasoned), the biscuits were warm & fluffy. Coffee was good, service was good. Completely unpretentious, straightforward good eats.

I ordered an a steak and egg, but halfway my stomach began to give me the warning signs which I know it has a lot to do with the oil that they use, and it doesn’t seem to be a clean place, but this server was kind, and the food was served on a timely manner

Like many people from San Jose, I have patronized A Bite of Wyoming with family since I was young. With that in mind, I genuinely want it to succeed but unfortunately, my most recent experience there has prompted me to not return for the foreseeable future.

While the restaurant is not known for an upscale atmosphere (which I personally love), the food is great and moderately priced. It’s a no-frills diner with patrons from all walks of life, what more can you want of an East San Jose institution?

In terms of service, while the women who run it can sometimes feel rough around the edges, I’ve always appreciated their direct and efficient manner in our interactions. However, during my most recent visit for breakfast my girlfriend and I were approached by a male server who has a consistently rude and unapproachable demeanor. On other occasions, I have chosen to simply look past his attitude, I mean, we all have our off days. Upon arrival, my girlfriend and I entered the restaurant in conversation and it was early enough that there were plenty of available booths so I assumed, yet asked him, if we could sit anywhere. With a look of annoyance, he obliged. Once seated, we ordered a coffee and apple juice. Upon bringing the drinks and carelessly setting them on the table, I very clearly thanked him to which he ignored me and walked away without taking our food order, much less even asking if we were ready. At this point, I decided to leave as it was obvious to me that this individual felt as if he was being inconvenienced and I questioned why I would continue subjecting myself to this quality of service.

I’m a fairly understanding individual but unfortunately, I can no longer justify receiving substandard service at A Bite of Wyoming. When a restaurant doesn’t have much of a view, that leaves service and food to be the remaining benchmarks by which it can be judged. Unfortunately, A Bite of Wyoming is missing the mark on service.
