Everything was perfect. The 3 salsa flight was top notch. The pastor shrimp tacos were the best shrimp I've ever had. The enchiladas my friend had were perfect. Highly recommend!

The food was decent but the service was lacking we had go bar after 15 minutes ask for them take order. It seems like worker was more concerned about setting up tables and didn't care about customers in the restaurant.

Star :3.5
There is a great happy hour menu and the service is attentive.

The wait for Fajitas was a bit long. Although it was delicious, the beef had too much fat.

We returned to Anejo after some time to see if it's still the same or if anything has changed. I'm torn with my review because I want to support small businesses, and their drinks are still good and strong (I REALLY appreciate a drink where I know alcohol is in it with the first sip), but I do think it's declined some since our previous review.
The menu is smaller, and the salsa's have changed. The presentation isn't as impressive as before, but they do care what the food looks like. It is tastefully done but is a bit more mainstream.
The flavors of the food are good, but I wouldn't say it would pull me back to where I am craving the tastes. I think there's just something missing now - not quite hitting the mark.
The elote was delicious and presented very well. That was not a disappointment in any way.
The Quesadilla was nicely presented, and the veggies inside were a great mix (corn, mushroom, spinach, baby tomatoes), but there wasn't much cheese, and the cheese on top was missing flavor. I wish it was a little saltier of cheese or the mix of veggies had grilled jalapenos - something to give it a zing.
The frijole enchiladas had potential, but the shredded chicken was a little dry, and the dish needed some heat or some cheese inside the enchiladas to liven it up. Conceptually, the black bean sauce is a good idea, and the presentation was nice, but maybe adding some avocado slices on top or onions inside would give it a little more flavor and texture contrast.
We felt for the server because, again, he was the only person for the entire restaurant. He was the host, waiter, bartender, and food runner. He was really nice and was busting his butt.
I don't like that their tip calculator is based on the total. Tips should not be calculated with the tax.
I want to really like this place. It's a nice interior, they present their food with thought, and the drinks are good, but the menu reduction and the lack of unique menu items like before saddens me. They reduced their drink selection and they didn't have the ingredients to make the first choice so we changed to another. We asked for some fresh avocado and it came rock hard, so there were some misses.
I'll check back periodically to see if anything interesting pops up in the future. ❤️
