Oh lawd so grateful this place exists! Every time I come into San Jose I look forward to stopping here. The food is always bomb, the place is always clean and the staff is always cool. When I eat this food its hard to sit still, I want to dance n shout lol.. Im literally eating outside on my car so I don't disturb the other patrons with my bouncing around lol.Thank you all!! Can you guys sell the jerk sauce by the gallon please? And I'd like subscription to the plantains.

We snuck in about 20 minutes before they closed. Staff was pretty chill. Food was great. LOVED their jerk sauce so much we bought two containers to bring home.
I’ve always driven by this spot and finally had the chance to check it out. Very nice flavors! I got the Jerk Tofu salad and it was so good! They really know how to make pleasing dressings. Next time I want to also try the beans and

If you haven’t been to Back A Yard we can’t be friends. This place has vibes as well as some of the best Caribbean Cuisine in the Bay Area. Oxtails and Curry Goat are my go to. Jerk chicken is amazing as well.Parking: This location the parking is not bad. Usually find a place on the street but if too bad there is a lot across the streetWheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheelchair friendly, would have no problems being comfortable.
my complaint isn’t with the food or the atmosphere both are great food is actually good and flavorful, my problem is with the front end, they pretend like you’re not there unless the line gets backed up seem to be busy handling they’re own affairs if you do order word of advice come ten minutes later and also check your order and if you can go go to another location. Feel bad because the cooks seem on time and food is good it’s the front help in simple words ghetto and self absorbed they suck hope management reads this and makes necessary changes I will no longer go to this location.
We both got the salmon and oxtails. It was WONDERFUL. First time trying oxtails and they were amazing. I didn't like the seasoning on the rice, but I really never like rice so my opinion on that doesn't count. The portion was perfect. I would highly recommend going to the dim sum bakery next door. EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD.
Just a horrible experience with this restaurant. The food was burnt, no taste authentic as Jamaican food should be. Agree with some of the reviews, this is not authentic taste, badly done goat meat too much oil , greasy, mostly bones. The Owner Anna told me they have this particular dish (goat curry) made at some other Indian restaurant and they don't make it at their restaurant! Wow! This is so strange! No wonder the taste, the whole service is really bad, the staff keeps changing. They tell us they leave the company because of bad Management! Never ordering from here again!!

Very different. I can't compare it to Jamaica Grill. Service was good. Food was a bit spicy for me. Maybe next time I'll ask cashier for what's their most wanted item and go from there.

Got this with a friend during a weekday. A lot of people were coming in and out taking it togo, and I ate it in the restaurant. I got the chicken and oxtail combo for $20. It was super filling. The oxtail and chicken were super tender and juicy, but a little bit too salty for my taste. The rice was also very delicious. I would come again as the portion and price were super good for the quality of the food.
