BTG is a hidden gem! The food is delicious and authentic - I’ve tried the dosas, idli sambar, filter coffee and mango juice on multiple occasions and everything is consistently yummy and reasonably priced. BTG is one of the few places that cuts out the BS and focuses on providing a delightful culinary experience each time.

Absolutely loved the food! We pre-ordered the masala dosey on their website, very simple and straightforward process. Dosey reminded us of Bengaluru and is as deliciously authentic as it can get! It’s served with coconut chutney which is delicious too.

We also had thatte idli and idli sambhar. The chutney + ghee combination on thatte idli is amazing.

Prepare to wait 15-20 mins to pickup your order as they make the dosa fresh and do not pre-pack.

This place serves the best masala dosa in Bay Area, crispy on the outside and soft inside. The garlicky chutney on the dosa takes it to the next level.

Dietary restrictions: I had requested for a no onion garlic version of podi masala dosa for a friend and the chef put in all efforts to accommodate this for a single dosa.

We tried Masala Dose, Thatte idli and idli sambar. Food is excellent, coming from a Bengalurian this is the best dose I’ve had in the USA. The owner/chef was very friendly and checked with us for feedback. Filter coffee at the end was very good . A must try breakfast spot in the Bay Area ?

Dosa was very average. Too oily and felt like a lot of maida was added to make them crispy. The red chutney and the potato palya tasted good. Surya Dharshini has better dosas

I am from Bangalore and long wished for a Bangalore style dosa. For me a dosa should be crisp on the top and soft on the inside.
Crisp DOES NOT mean deep fried in oil and ghee. The inside needs to be soft with cooked batter.
BTG gets full marks on palya and red chutney.
But the dosa kinda disappointed me. This dosa was dripping with oil/ghee. The inside looks like a lot of maida is added. Only when you add maida you get polished look and non porousy texture.

People need to start appreciating dosas with simple clean ingredients.

Awesome Bengaluru cuisine. Limited options but who cares when they are well done. Met the owner-cum-chef randomly, and that’s how we discovered the place. Got breakfast the next morning. If you are a purist for basics done well, go for it

This place is hyped. Ulluvacharu offers a much better Ghee Podi Idli. Dosa was very average. And the service was very poor. Brought the experience down overall

MUST VISIT to have Bengaluru style masala dose which is on point and made exactly like the way you get in Bengaluru- perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chutney aloo filling and the masala are perfectly made to go with the dosa and the whole combination takes you back to a breakfast place on Bengaluru city.
Customer service is amazing and it’s very easy to get a reservation for weekend bookings.
