What can I say? The ambiance is light friendly, excellent staff service with smiles, and an eclectic taste in acoustic music overhead. The tasty delights that I have been tempted to eat thay have completely.. evaporated! I will go again if and when in the area. Great place to meet ul with someone, or if you choose to read or study, highly recommended ? ? ? ? ? ? have been earned in my experience.

I dare say, i feel like they've stopped trying.
I've always liked this place, but the last few times I've visited, which were months apart, I've been let down immensely. Starting with the listlessness of the employee who took our order, we had 2 different drinks and got the same thing, I ordered a caffè au lait and my husband a sweet flat white and we both got the same thing, we brushed it off and got our pastries, which were cold and tasted like they'd been sitting in the fridge for at least a week.
While I get that that might have been the case, I feel like they could have at least bothered to warm it up a bit to mask the fact..
I understand things are strange and that food prices are high, but if you insist on charging 8 dollars for a frozen pastry at the very least stick it in a toster oven for a few minutes as a small courtesy.

The red velvet cake taste very old, taste almost like what you smell in the fridge. Cheesecake also taste very old, not very creamy. Not worth the 8 dollar price tag. Had better at supermarket.

The cake semi fresh seem like it was one or 2 days old. The restaurant had dishes on the tables and the outside tables were dirty as well the inside. I had to wipe my own table. No initiative and no sense of urgency. The floors needed to be swepted. Customer service was good. If the restaurant is selling moderate to expensive dessert the atmosphere should be cleaner and more inviting . Also, all the dessert boxes should be out of customer view and not on counters. Certain areas should have been more organized. Presentation is everything.

Super cute bistro/cafe here. Good staff and good selection of pastries. Ice cream too!

I had the almond biscotti and it was great.

My wife loved the chocolate mouse, but the almond par tart was a bit dry. Granted we came an hour before close, but after heating, the center was still cold and overall not as delightful as it looks. Don’t let this put you off as the selection is extensive!

FOUND A WORM IN MY CHEESECAKE!!! Horrible, cost me a fortune to just get worms in place of food. The cinnamon twists are dry and flaky af that means they do not have fresh food. Dont waste your time and money here.

The cafe looks very nice and seems to position itself has an upscale artesian kind of bakery and bistro. The food is esthetically presented.

However the quality isn’t very high. The salads have nice toppings creating the illusion of rich ingredients. Underneath it’s 90% lettuce.

The croissants are not fresh and bought from some supplier. They are not crunchy.

I know that Bay Area prices are out of control everywhere but asking for 7$ for a not fresh / home made croissant is just preposterous.

The salad is also overpriced given its mostly cheap ingredients.

What upsets me is that they present themselves as something much better than they actually are once you had a closer look and taste. Feels like a scam almost

The customer service is terrible, I’ve had issues getting something very simple resolved and when I asked for help a very rude lady who by the way is not a manager started to speak in a very rude tone, she tried multiple times to get me to stop asking a simple question and there was supposedly no manager but she was “trying to take care of it”.
The cakes are very delicious I am not going to lie about that, but I would appreciate that my business was taken more seriously, the same way I respect and appreciate your product.

For a solid 9 years Bijan has been my go to place for cakes and dessert gifts. But the ownerships seems to be taking the customer base for granted. The workers are sweet but seem young and under pressure. After dropping 60 bucks for pastries, I didn't appreciate that the bag is another 1.5 or there is a 3% charge for credit cards. The prices are clearly going up, why not build the extra costs in? As a luxury brand it seems out of place. It also didn't help that the AC wasn't working so the heat was getting to everyone.
Don't get me wrong, the cakes are still delicious, but coupled with everything else, it make me start thinking about alternatives.

We’ve been coming here for years, and the quality (with some pastries) has gone downhill while the prices keep going up. For an $8.00 piece of raspberry mousse, and an $8.00 chocolate mousse, I would expect not to find several moldy raspberries.

Also had a chocolate macaroon that tasted like mold. But other desserts were ok.

I’m ok with $8.00 desserts. Just make sure the quality is there. Hopefully they improve, or it will be business lost.

Desserts are good but service is pretty disorganized, even though they have a ticketing system. Also got the wrong dessert (wasn’t offered a receipt and item received was cheaper than item ordered)and no plates even though we ordered in.

Some pastries, such as the almond apple tart should not be refrigerated. It was cold and soggy, not dry and crumbly.

Oh my goodness! My chocolate croissants were so delish! I bought some for my crew and all of us were amazed at how wonderful they were. Highly recommend!
