I recently bought a chocolate cake from this bakery, and it was a huge disappointment. The cake layers were dry and lacked flavor, and the cream (the filling between the layers and on top) tasted like it was made with margarine instead of real cream or butter, leaving a greasy, unpleasant aftertaste. It was so bad that we couldn’t even finish it and had to throw it away.

What’s worse, with half the price (or even less), you can buy much better cakes from any Safeway in the neighborhood. For the price this bakery charges, I expected far better quality. I won’t be coming back here for cakes again

This place used to be Bijan Bakery, a longtime local favorite known for its quality and flavor. It’s now under new ownership and renamed Bibi Bakery. While they claim the ingredients and baking methods haven’t changed, that simply isn’t true.

We tried five different pastries and were seriously disappointed. The flavors were bland and uninspired, and the overall quality has dropped significantly. Some pastries had whipped cream with a grainy texture , you could actually feel the sugar crystals. The fruit on the fruit tarts was clearly not fresh; it tasted old and had a dull appearance. The other pastries and cakes had a noticeably artificial taste , nothing like what we used to love.

To make matters worse, the prices are outrageous. $7 to $8 per item for what felt like supermarket-level desserts at best. Honestly, they weren’t worth more than $2 each.

The service was equally disappointing, unfriendly and unwelcoming, with a clear attitude that made the experience even worse.

It’s sad to see such a great bakery take such a steep decline. We won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who remembers how good it used to be.

Awful , I was really disappointed. The dessert smelled strongly of eggs and did not taste fresh at all. Definitely not what I was expecting.

This bakery is amazing. The croissant was very flaky with tons of flavor. The spinach filling was seasoned perfectly. You should also try the Turkish coffee and biscotti.

We searched up a nearby cafe after visiting a car dealership nearby and found Bibi's. We opted for the hazelnut mousse cake and a pair of double espressos. The cake was disappointed us as it was missing semblance of hazelnuts. As our visit happened on a very gusty/rainy day the windows and doors of the shop were closed. Perhaps this is why there was a strong odor of cooking oil or something burnt instead of coffee or the sweet smell of baking when we arrived after lunch. I was really impressed with the shelves of assorted cookies and baked savory treats alongside the case of cakes. (so much labor to make so many varieties and seasonal Shamrock cookies for March) I can see why this is a go-to bakery for many in the neighborhood.

Many years ago they used to be good and reasonable in price too. Now overpriced mediocrity.

I have been coming here for several years with my family, and the quality remains consistent. My mother swears by their scones and I've had several cakes and cookies throughout the years, all which were fresh and delicious. The baked goods here really have that homemade taste and feel, and you can't go wrong with anything you choose!

Ali provided me the best customer service ever! Not only helping me pick a cake but preparing a fresh squeezed orange juice!
Thank you Ali, I will be back for other b-day cakes, highly recommended.
