Looks nice from outside, but food was stale and overpriced. Ordered a large coffee (which was very small and less that 5 oz), salad croutons and lettuce were stale (I ordered a side salad and was charged and given a large). Breakfast croissants were greasy and still cold and hard after they heated. Meringue cookies were also hard and stale, though they looked good in the case. Save your money.
No one helped me, and I was totally ignored. I asked for assistance, and the staff looked at me like I was an alien. Horrible customer service
I enjoyed two cookies and apple juice at Bijan Bakery in downtown San Jose. This is a superlative European bakery. The bakery was putting up its Christmas decorations.
We were in San Jose and for dessert we went to Bijan Bakery for some of their very good cookies and cappucino. Service as always was superb. This is a very good European style bakery in the downtown area.
First breakfast in San Jose! The croissants were delicious!
They have good pastries, and this review is not about them. We've been there twice since the COVID-19 virus hit. The first time ( a month or two ago), NO ONE who worked there was masked. The gal behind the counter would reach into the cases, breathing on the pastries in the case. My guy bought something for each of us. I threw mine away when we left. Then, last Wednesday (July 22nd) we decided to give it another try. The young gal behind the counter had a mask over her m
For a nice decadent desert, I purchased two delightful raspberry tarts at Bijan Bakery. Service is good. They had all types of specialty deserts also for the upcoming Mother's Day Holiday.
Just ordered my first take out since sheltered and chose Bijan’s . Fantastic sandwiches , lattes and dessert! And delivered on time with coffee hot!!! Will definitely do it again!
Love the Pinot that Jesse served us, paninis were delicious and so was the cheese and fruit tray, beautifully arranged. We always have a good time when we visit. Jesse and Anthony always provide great service and make the place very enjoyable.

when we walked in the staff ignored us. they were not busy ( although ten minutes after we walked in the flood gates opened). we had never been there before and did not know the routine. no one told us where to sit or gave us a menu. finally we noticed offerings written on the wall by one of the counters.there was more than one place to order and of course we went to the wrong one. when we did get things figured out there was a young lady leaning against the wall who litteraly stared at us while we tried to order. finally we successfully completed said order with no help from the young women who then turned the device arround so that we could give her a tip! only AFTER we gave her the tip did she smile and become gracious and very helpful. the food ended up being pretty decent but this place tries to be too many things.coffee shop. sandwich shop. desert shop. bakery. very varied menu needs to be more focused - and so do the employees..
The pastries were delicious and so was the latte. Would be nice if the employees smiled and were a little kinder.
racist owner refused service to man that was waiting his turn for "waiting too long"
My husband and I had a nice tuna salad lunch at Bijan Bakery and Cafe in San Jose. For beverages, my husband had a glass of wine. I had sparkling water. Service was good.
Was staying in the Fairmont right next door and would stop here for a pastry on the go. Pastries were fresh and tasty. They also have a good variety of cakes that looked pretty delicious. A nice place.
