mar. 19, 2024. not a bad joint. only asian dude walked in and no one was bothered by me. anyway, i got the bangers and mash and a couple of beers. bangers is something i caught up with from the cousin in the uk. i told them why call it bangers, and they were saying "you dont want to know" so im like alright then. off topic my bad. well this was a nice lil joint with a hint of american influence as well.

The best, single word I can come up for this location of the Brit is "Disorganized." I came here with a large group of hiking friends on a Saturday afternoon, after finishing a tour of Almaden Quicksilver. I had called several days before, and was directed to Julia, the person in charge of such things. She was friendly and eager on the phone, saying they would save us some space on the back deck. I promised to call if the attendee count dropped; it didn't. When we arrived on time, however, it was as if our group were a surprise. Did they save space for us as promised? No. We had to split up the group into separated tables to fit (almost) everyone. One or two of us did not have any table surface. Annoying as F. More disorganization - Waitresses didn't keep track of who ordered what, so every single dish was brought out and announced to the *entire deck area* (i.e. including others groups and families). Later, I overheard an owner ask a waitress "Where'd the big party come from?" She replied: "It's on the board". (I guess reading "the board" is optional). When it came time to pay the checks, the waitresses were inconsistent, taking people's words for some things but over-scrutinizing those of others. I ended up paying for an extra beer ordered by the guy next to me. (I couldn't check with him, since he had already payed and left). Yet more disorganization - Half the beers listed on the boards outside were not actually offered on tap any more. One waitress said, with a chuckle, that it had been this way for a while. Haha. (Perhaps "indifferent" might be the Brits' runner-up word) As for the food and beer - it was all just OK (standard pub food). So normally three stars. But since the Brit dropped the ball on everything else, I welcome them to downgrade-ville. When in this area again, our hiking group will be going elsewhere.

St Patrick's Day was absolute nightmare. 30 plus minutes for first food but it was entrees before appetizer. Other tables order later got food first. One order was wrong and the other was room temp. Chips were borderline raw. Fish, shrimp and corned beef were pretty good. Question is will the onion rings come out for desert... nope....showed up at same time. Guinness Sticky Toffee was good but served cold. Server is out of her depth not understanding menu, drinks available or communicating issues. Ambiance is very loud, chaotic, sports pub, etc. feel. Do you feel lucky...

I had the pleasure of being served by Gabe, the bartender on Saturday. He was so kind and really helpful, made me and my friends' experiences all the better!

Hosted an event here and the staff was PHENOMENAL. The coordinating of the event with Julia was effortless and smooth. The staff that evening was exceptional at taking our groups food and drink orders and making sure we were well cared for. We will be back! We also had some appetizers for the event that were perfect. The fruit platter was amazing and all the fruit was sweet and perfectly ripe! That's rare for a fruit platter anywhere... Potato skins and chips and guac were delicious as well!

Inflation rears its ugly head!! I love the fish & chips here. However, I went last night and noticed they cut their servings in half. You no longer get two large pieces of fish, you get one piece and maybe half the chips. I know their prices are high and therefore it is passed along to the consumer, but I would have gladly paid more for the same portion you use to get.

Great dive to meet up with friends. They have a good drink selection, beer garden and entertainment at times.

I don't come here at night, or to drink. I come here in the mornings for their English Breakfast! It is fantastic. This was one of the first places that I tried an English breakfast and have fallen in love with it and try to order it everywhere I go. I even make it at home but it doesn't taste the same. Their service is great, and during winter they have heaters outside. They also have TVs so if you want to catch a game it's a great environment!

Breakfast was underwhelming and overpriced. The Corned Beef Hash Plate is mashed potatoes mixed with small pieces of corned beef, two hash brown patties, toast, and two eggs - I also asked for over medium eggs and they were overdone. The All American Plate was also over priced for small sausages, overdone bacon, unseasoned eggs, and toast. Both were $20. Wouldn't come back for breakfast.
