We had lunch on a weekday at this place. It was less than half full. We ordered Burmese pork curry and lemon basil chicken, both recommended by our waiter. The food was good, with very large portions, although the quality of the meat could be better. The chicken was too spicy for my partner but I thought it was fine. Our dining table was very wobbly and it definitely impacted our dining experience. There was only one lady waiting the whole restaurant and someone else busting the table. Food was served pretty quickly. Overall a good meal but I would probably try a different restaurant if I were in the area again.

We have been to Burma Choice several times and enjoyed the experience. There are not many Burmese restaurants in the area. So, the vibe, the decorations, and the flavors of the dishes feel different. On our most recent visit, Black Pepper Lamb was cooked just right, tender and juicy. Burma Choice Noodle (vegetarian) was flavorful. The only downside was that all the dishes were salty. And that is the reason why we don't visit this place very often. The staff were friendly but not striving for better service. Despite listing carrots, the Black Pepper Lamb came without them. When my husband asked about this, the response was a shrug and 'I don't know what the chef did.'There are many unique meat and vegetarian dishes. Be sure to order rice separately because it doesn't come with the dishes.

Best Burmese food in Bay Area in my opinion. Their appetizer sweet/spicy tofu is awesome. Burmese chow main also very good. We were seated quickly, food came quickly, and every dish was great. Highly recommend!

TL;DR - great service, attention to detail, and really tasty food. Bring your appetite and people to share the food. You will want to try everything on the menu.Love it! The service was outstanding! We arrived and were seated about an hour before sunset. As we were looking through the menu, one of the staff members noticed the sunlight theough the front door was about to cast its rays upon our faces. He went out and adjusted the outdoor seating umbrellas to block the sunlight for us without us asking. That's excellent attention to detail and to our enjoyment of our meal. The wait staff also came to check on us regularly with frequent refills on our water and if we needed anything. It's an art to be able to have that balance of offering excellent service. The food has loads of depth and flavor. Every dish we ordered has its own personality and character. The deli ate smells and mouth feel of everything we ordered was on point. Samosas, palata, rainbow salad, garlic noodle, kebat chicken, fried tofu with pork, jasmine rice, and coconut rice. There were four of us, and yes, we were HUNGRY. Well, we over ordered, but no regrets! We all went home with food.

This place is great. The food is great. The service is great and the atmosphere. One night I ordered takeout and the server simply swiped my card and said have a good day. I thought that was oddly quick and I thought they might have automatically added their tip on top of the charges, but no, they did not. Just straightforward pricing and excellent service. Thank you for the refreshing experience.

I could understand for waiter to ask to remove dish done, but not ask customer to pack there to go while they eating there food. It was rude.People went out to eat was to enjoy time with friend. We were not there just for dinner.I’m was a waitress for many years and in other field customer service.

Food was good, as expected. I recommend the Burma House noodles and pineapple fried rice. The calamari appetizer was extra crisp which was generally liked by the table and we finished with sticky rice ice cream which was interesting. The service was prompt and organized. Don't mind coming here again.

Nice interior and friendly staff. The salt and pepper calamari was just ok. The chicken curry with coconut milk was great. The eggplant with shrimp and garlic sauce was the best tasting. We also ordered the garlic noodles with pork was good. It had rice wavy noodles, which I like. The service was excellent. Next time, I will try their salads, which they had a good selection.

Nice place for a casual dinner....and a lot of gluten-free options!!Food service was on par and the food was fine. The bottle of wine was a STEAL!The food menu is a bit confusing and someone not familiar with this particular cuisine might have trouble picking the right dish. I expected more kick/flavor but most people would probably prefer it the way its prepared. Overall, considering price/service/quality, it's definitely a place I'd recommend to try out.I'll be back!??Dietary restrictions: Tons of gluten-free options.Hard to find in Asian cuisine

From the menu here, it looked like a standard dish was the black pepper stirfry, which (listed in various places in the menu) you could get with chicken, beef, lamb, pork, fish, or shrimp. Figuring it would be heavily seasoned, which it was, I went for the pork which was less expensive. Reminded me in style of one of the heavier Mongolian beef-type dishes. The meat was excellent, well-cooked and with a little fat as pork should. Not a lot of veggie matter, so I'm glad I got this with steamed rice. There were some onions and bell peppers, as the menu said, but most of the veggie was pea pods (not snow peas), which were not listed on the menu. I don't much like peas, though the sauce was heavy enough that it didn't much matter, and the number of pods not really large, but that was a little irritating.Service quick and good. Very loud 1980s pop songs on the sound system.

We stopped by after our 8 mile run for some replenishment on a Saturday morning and came by right when they opened.Service was quick and they seated us, took our order and there was not much of a wait as our three dishes were quickly distributed to us. We ordered the Nan Gyi Dok, eggplant and tea leaf salad. The tea leaf salad was crunchy and fresh with a great ratio with each ingredient. I am also content they did not include nuts that feel they are going to crack my molars haha. The eggplant was packed of flavor and a bit of a kick and the nan gyi dok was the main disappointment. The nan gyi dok was 90% noodles and barely had any other ingredients that make nan gyi dok what it is! I would have liked to have more sauces, cilantro, onion, chicken, etc. Overall, delicious food and would like more than just noodles in the nan gyi dok.

Great great great Burmese food! We have come here twice already! The first time it was just me and my husband and our kid and the second time we came here with friends. Both times the food was delicious. The service can be slow sometimes especially because they get a LOT of take out orders (may be grub hub or DoorDash). The first time around our food was delayed a lot but we were patient since it's a new restaurant and we saw a lot of orders being prepared for to-go orders. Eventually our food did come and it was pretty good. The service team was very nice too and attended to us as they could. The second time around we ordered the samosas and we found a hair in there. We sent it back and they got us a fresh plate. Things happen, I understand and overall we really liked the fish curry, veg fried rice, tea salad and mixed veg tofu that we got. This is growing to be a sweet lunch favorite of ours and we can't wait to come back again!Vegetarian options: Some veg options available
