I went there at 7 pm on a Monday during the public session time. It was kind of crowded but the size of the skate ring allows for people to not feel too suffocated. Ice skating there was a pleasure. When I compare it with another place I've skated on, which was smaller and even the ice was smooshy, I am glad to have chosen this San Jose Sharks ice rink. The bathroom is right around the corner, the check in process was very easy, the skates were not too old and they had plenty of sizes, the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. It was really fun to go there and see so many adults, kids, and teenageers all have fun. There's not many places like this left to all have fun in. Will come back for more practice :) - Tip: If you are prone to falling, make sure your sticker is secure, otherwise you'll lose it, like I did (the sticker they tell you to keep on on ice as proof of payment).

Sharks Ice is the best place to go ice skating in the South Bay, hands down. My daughter loves it here, she's been coming since she was little and now she's 9 and a pro skater. She even tries some hockey moves sometimes. They have a nice restaurant and bar where you can watch the ice. The new rinks are awesome. Sharks Ice is always expanding. The only downside is that they don't have many options for birthday parties and they are pretty pricey. I wish they had more flexible birthday packages like other places.

Loved the experience! Easy to book, plenty of options for newbies and experienced skaters... Reasonably priced too!

We only paid $22 per person (4 adults) for a pretty long time (not sure if it was just one hour, but it felt long). Parking is plentiful and free. No extra cost for the skates. Great service. Bring 4 quarters if you need a locker like I did. They have food here if you really need. And there is a section separated from the rink where adults or children can hold onto a stack of buckets to not fall.

Great prices and a ton of fun for the whole family. Going again soon for sure. Blah blah blah

We had a good time here! Nice big place, plenty of parking. I am a terrible skater, my teenage kids have never been. It was a great place for beginners. The staff was friendly and efficient. It was quite full on a Thursday late afternoon over the holiday break but we still had enough room to move around. We liked that there was an area sectioned off so newbies like us could practice at a slower pace with buckets (they never ran out). However there were people who zipped really fast there, were obviously good skaters, so not sure why they chose to be in the beginner area. I think good skaters would be frustrated here because there are a lot of people who are SLOW or stop and don't move at all. Bathrooms got gross but that is expected for a place like this. One star deducted for that. Skates were uncomfortable and probably not as sharp as they should be but we weren't trying to go fast anyway. The christmas music was fun! I liked being indoors on a bad weather day but there are probably prettier ice rinks out there decked with festive lights. Definitely worth a visit.

Better than Christmas at the park, they provide buckets for beginners to learn how to skate as well. We took our 4year old and he did great.

Great place to go ice-skating! Especially for beginners. there's an entire area where you can practice before you go hit the main area. Reasonably priced and easy parking and entrance.

Great ice and the buckets for starters are very steady and colorful! I loved how the people there are just doing their own thing and help each other up if another person falls.

We showed up at 5:20 for my 4 year old to skate with my wife, we were under the impression that it was the last open skate of the night so we decided to just go for it. 5 minutes later my friend texts me there is 6-8:15pm Open Skate so at 5:25 I go the front desk and ask the lady with purple hair if this was true? She said "yes", so I asked well as the resident expert at the venue why didn't the mention to use there was going to be another Open Ice a half hour later ? We would have gotten some food and come back if we had known, so I asked since it's been 5 minutes if I can just move the one I bought for 6pm and we would wait. She said "too bad you need to pay again", just terrible job of advocating and informing your customers that left a terrible impression. $43 for 20 minutes of skating is expensive, you should have let us know that we could have waited a few more minutes and gotten 2 hours of skating for the same price, or credited us our 20 minute session for 6:15pm session, when I asked her about it 5 minutes later she could give 2 flying f**ks.

I am happy to say that I've seen a huge improvement since I first started skating here. There's been a complete turnover in the front desk staff. I'm actually greeted with smiles when I go skate now, which helps brighten my day. Ice is well maintained at all rinks. The seating areas are clean. I wish that they would do a better job at cleaning the bathrooms though. I use my own skates so I can't comment on the rentals.

This place is super cool! Kinda hidden at the Sharks Ice but when you find it, you’ll love it. Stopped in for a birthday gathering and the bartender was super helpful and quick…but the spot was super chill and plenty of room to relax.

I would have given zero star if I could have. Read on for details. We went there with my wife's ESA (French bulldog in lap). The front desk person told it is fine but if manager asks we need to show document which we agree to as we have letter.Pretty soon manager (by name Allister) showed up. I told does he need to see ESA letter. He said and I quote "emotional support is not a service dog". When I asked to see the policy he went inside and comes back with a document that states "if the animal performs support to disability, then it's allowed". I said what type of disability as my wife supports for severe anxiety and panic disorder and her physiatrist suggests the service animal. Then this guy smiled and said he is "allowing" for this one time.Seriously, this makes me ticked off, who is he allowing anything. There policy can't state what a disability is so he is bound to allow. So I said "don't bullshit me with policy". This guy became furious and told me he will throw me out if I swear.Think about the audacity of a person at this point who first of all waste my time by quoting some policy that he later can't prove, then threatening me!I asked for his supervisor and he said he is the "boss"! This guy definitely thinks he is, even though I am pretty sure he is not.I seriously request anyone who is reading this and knows how serious mental disability is to boycott this place. And make sure to say something next time if you were treated like me like Allister or anyone else there!

Was so excited to bring my kid finally and the skate rentals were absolutely horrendous, torn up, not sharpened. Tried the hockey Skates and they hurt like hell. Of course the staff doesn't cate.So disappointed
