Just be a decent person tip the bartenders and you'll be fine I went here yesterday (July 19th 2025) and today (July 20th 20025) and it's been the same welcoming and kind experience each time 10/10 this place is amazing and I'd highly suggest it if your going to get a drink

It's very rare you see a classic style dive bar with a craft cocktail feel. Some people were there drinking a bud light with a Jameson back and others a sazerac or a last word. I was so confused but happy

I don't know about honky tonk, but this place was a lot of fun. The music playing was anything but honky tonk unless you use the restroom. Definitely get the apple cocktail (can't remember the name), this was a refreshing delight. Bartenders are super friendly as is the atmosphere in general. Lastly be aware, as the name suggests, they only accept cash. With that all said, would I come back? Hell yes!

A Johnny Cash themed honky-tonk? In San Jose? Accessible, if narrow? Queer friendly? Last thing I expected to find, but glad I did. Decent priced drinks, great vibes, old school outlaw country playing overhead, pool table, impeccable service. 4.7/5 🌟 would recommend.
Wheelchair accessibility: Its a bit narrow, especially near the bathrooms, but accessible for a four wheeled mobility scooter. The actual bathrooms are single, lockable rooms, with enough room for a chair, but be really, really good at reverse to either back in, or out. This is really my only complaint, and it's not even a big one, about the whole place. Well staffed, and friendly, too.

I was having a great time drinking and conversating with my friend in the pool room, and the owner came up to me and asked me if I was vaping. I said it wasn't me if the owner was watching she would've seen it was the couple playing pool the male was vaping. It made me uncomfortable due to the fact she was staring at me and accused me of vaping. Due to this I left, I left their bar early without finishing my drink. The bouncer was cool though and so was our bartender. But due to the owner my first time at her bar was uncomfortable and made me feel unwelcomed. It felt like since the couple was white she didn't question them but since I am of a darker skin tone she questioned me first.

Owner came up to my friend and blame him for smoking, when it was the couple playing pool today that was vaping Wednesday while we were waiting to play pool. We felt discriminated against, they can check the cameras we never vape. We left early tonight, we honestly felt discriminated and didn’t wanted to stay longer, I even left my full drink tonight.
