The gentleman at the counter was very on top of all the orders and I appreciated his attentiveness and great attitude. Brought drinks out to the customers and went above and beyond.

3/21/25 I took part in GTC25, and wanted to get some food and drinks at this cafe. I stood in the line for about 15minutes, and when I placed my order the cashier said there is was no tapping to pay (earlier this day I bought a coffee and tapping was working). I told the server that I would run back to my room and come back with the physical card. When I got back in less than 5 minutes, she just told me that I need to go back in the end of the line, which got even bigger by the time I got back to the cafe. Without letting me say anything she just turned out and started doing her stuff. I decided that I’d rather walk to a nearby cafe, than wait in the line again to be served by her. I didn’t get her name, but this was an evening shift and there were only 2 of them - she is the one who wasn’t wearing any glasses. Another server who wore glasses seemed sweet to everyone. But my server was unlucky super rude and clearly looked like she hated this job. She was also rude to the lady in front of me, who asked for a plastic bag as she had loads of stuff (her order was $60) They didn’t have any bags, the lady said it would be difficult for her to carry everything, on which the server replied- yeah, and also turned around. What’s the point of keeping such employees?

I came by a few times over the weekend. The morning crew are always angry and practically shove the food and drinks at the customers while turning their heads away. The later crew are just bored but at least will treat customers with decency. Coffee was fine. One of the days they were out of half and half and I was too scared to tell them because they looked like they'll murder anyone with a question.

It's great in a pinch if you didn't have time to get your drink at the Paseo or San Pedro locations.

They stick a Starbucks sign on themselves but their drinks don't taste anywhere near the same quality. I ordered a white mocha but it was so bad, I couldn't finish it. They don't take the apps so I couldn't earn points. They don't take Starbucks gift cards either. Don't go here. They trick you by thinking they're the real Starbucks. I rather spend the time going to local coffee shops outside of there.

Part of weekend trek!

As you might expect from a convenience store/breakfast joint attached to a hotel, everything here has like a 40% markup. I bought a Redbull and some beef jerky and the bill came out to be 20 dollars. The wiser move is to walk a little and go to Specialty's or Starbucks located a block north.

Little expensive side compare to regular Starbucks but super convenient.

Located on the ground floor of the Marriot San José Hotel, this complete Market offers a wide variety of products: from the delicious line of Starbucks Coffees, to precious California souvenirs. It also has an assorted selection of drinks, sandwiches and sweets. In the boutique sector, you can buy coats, t-shirts and accessories (such as bags and glasses)And as if all this were not enough, there is a section with basic Pharmacy products. Ideal to get out of trouble when you suffer from discomfort during your stay at the hotel. The attention is agile and very cordial.Next to the entrance door, there is an ATM.And in the corridor in front of the market, there is a sector with tables and armchairs to sit down comfortably to consume. It seemed to me a practical, useful, neat, clean and well-attended business. Highly recommended!

This little market has everything, or near everything. The Starbucks coffee is good, Pumkin Spice Latte was on point.

It's a rather large store compared to what you could expect from a store in a hotel. They have all sorts of products that could be useful during your stay, but they also have some more touristic products here as well.
You can even get some fresh food here, so perfect for a snack when you're on your way.

They serve Starbucks here. There's also a decent selection of beers, snacks and some refrigerated foods. A small gift shop is in the back as well. It's just a short walk across from the California Theater.
