Currently closed. Have been there many many times over the years. Excellent sandwiches, salads and plates. Decadent desserts. Very dark coffee. Airy seating at tables or overstuffed furniture or sit outside on the green leafy patio.

No pretensions here but a great variety of pastries, cookies, crepes, salads, ice cream options and sandwiches - all priced very moderately. Comfortable seating suitable for solo relaxing, couples or small meetings. This plus a small bookstore on one side and a beautiful outdoor garden on the other side - and just across the street from the garden seating is the San Francisco Bay and two blocks away is the San Francisco Giants' home - Oracle Park. Great place for a relaxing break in the City.

Good food with a variety of options. Best part is the salad bar which is way cheaper than wholefoods.

Ahi tuna salad was delicious and extremely good value. For those who think these guys deserve a second chance and also appreciate good food, go there.

Another Delancy foundation establishment helping out those in transition in their lives. Space is very nice, quiet and good for conversation. Food is simple, tasty, and plentiful enough. Coffee is very good. Browse the book store as well while you are there.

This is a cafe run by ex- inmates who live near the premises. The food is meh. Not expensive. Not super quality. It's fine if you are desperate but if you are looking for a great meal, go a mile north to the ferry building.

This awesome cafe is part of the locked and secure Xilinx campus and is only available for their employees and their guests!

Even if the cafe wasn’t run by Delancey Street Foundation it would be a wonderful place for a meal, but being able to support this inspiring organization makes it an even more special place. Atmosphere is relaxed, cozy and warm. Location is great - right near the water and close to the Ferry Building and AT&T Park. Lovely outdoor garden and patio and indoor library/bookshop/gift shop. Menu is extensive with great sandwich and salad offerings. Breakfast items include eggs, bagels, baked goods and more. Great coffee! Service with a smile! And incredibly inexpensive - especially in crazy expensive SF.

This is one of my go-to meeting spots for coffee in SOMA. MEnu is creative for this small cafe, service is great & wifi is too. There are many tables to use for a break or a business meeting. Love the friendly team here and the gift shop too.

This place is wonderful, the only thing to know ahead of time is that it doesn't have wifi but here is what it does have -- great and friendly staff, low priced wine, coffee, and desserts which you can't get any where else in the city for this price. Plenty of couches, and chairs to relax and if you like you can walk to the ferry building or SOMA it's really a gem and I hope you check it out.

We went in for a quick lunch. First has to deal with the clown at the counter. The guy was a piece of work, acted like he was doing you a favor for taking your order. Ordered a tuna salad and a turkey sandwich so each of us could have half. The tuna salad was just OK, kind of watery, on toast barely toasted but eatable. The turkey sandwich was 3 inches thick, 2 3/4 of which were bread. Ended up trying to eat open face. After a few bites had to throw the rest away, just didn't taste right.

Psstt!! Don't tell everyone, or this place might be overwhelmed and become just another trendy spot for millennials. Set in the Delancey Street complex, known for its positive efforts at rehab, it has an unassuming air, good coffee and snacks, a fine little bookstore attached, and welcoming atmosphere. Busy but not overcrowded. A woman playing the piano for 2+ hours I was there, just enjoying herself and lending the place an inviting tone. Off Brannon near the Embarcadero, parking easy.

I was so surprised with how cheap the prices are. My special was eggs, two slices of toast and 2 slices of bacon for $6. The hot chocolate was pretty fantastic. Helpings were generous for the price. There is an outdoor eating area with views of the bay. The employees are all people working to turn their life around. Location is very close to the Giants games too.

This cafe has been hiding from us for years - we had no idea it existed. We have been going to Delancey Street for years and it is one of our favorite places to dine. I didn't realize they also had a cafe until yesterday. The cafe is located on the back side of the Delancey Street complex. When you walk in, it is evident that you are in a very calming place - it's a bookstore, gift shop, relax-on-a-couch or sit at a table or take your food with you place with a great atmosphere. The food is fresh, nicely prepared by hard working, very friendly staff. We tried the tuna sandwich, turkey sandwich and chips (great chips) with guacamole. Sandwiches were great and the price was extremely reasonable--it is, after all, a non-profit. There were plenty of options - from smoothies, ice cream, crepes, sandwiches, coffee, and a range of more substantial dishes. If you are not familiar with Delancey Street Foundation, go to their website. It is a wonderful place.
