We had a great time catching up at this restaurant! We enjoyed our food because everything tastes super good and they were so kind that they gave us free desserts! We will surely recommend this restaurant to everyone!

My husband and I were on 1st street looking for a fast quick bite. The Yelp reviews for this place were great so we ordered two hot dogs and a guava cheesecake. The man working there was really friendly and funny! He had so many different toppings for the hot dogs but we stuck to onions, ketchup, and mustard. It took about ten minutes and he packaged up everything really nicely. When we got home, our hot dogs were still warm. The first thing I noticed was that the bun was different and higher quality than regular hot dog buns. The toppings were plentiful and the onions were fresh. The hot dog itself was really tasty and as made of good quality meat! The whole thing was delicious and filled me up! The guava cheesecake is the bomb! The delicate flavors of the guava compliment the creamy cheesecake perfectly. It is just so addicting and refreshing! Wow! I highly recommend this place for a quick bite and some damn good cheesecake!

José Moreno is the charming proprietor and cook at Cubamex. I tried the Cubano sandwich for the first time last week. I bought one and shared it with my two teens. I came back today and bought two! It's the best hot sandwich I've ever had! It's delicious. It's a must-have! You won't regret it! As a side note, Jose Moreno is also a cook at our local, Santa Clara University (Benson Hall). His son is soon to be an alum this summer (Go Broncos!). Please support this homegrown establishment. It's worth it!

1st class food and service. This small quaint restaurant is the perfect place to grab a quick bite! They create a unique sandwich with a Cuban twist. I recommend giving them a try!

I had a hankering for a sandwich today and my fellow yelpers did not steer me wrong. I took a quick drive downtown and ordered the Cubamex sandwich which did not disappoint. You go to the walk up window and place your order (btw super friendly owner!), take a little stroll, go check out the mural or hit up Nirvana Soul a couple doors down. What I got in return was heaven in a roll. Tender pork, gooey cheese and a delicious sauce that really made the sandwich. Most people are like, but it isn't toasted like a Cuban sandwich, it's a Cubamex sandwich and the crunch comes from the sweet pickles added in there. Bonus points for the awesome, spicy pico de gallo that came with my chips. Like Arnold said, "I'll be back."

The cubamex number 4, recommended, was good, the mustard and the meat went well together, taste of Mexican and Cuban all in one. A good portion as well. That said, it is pricey - and stars mainly for the price of the sandwich.

We stopped by this location randomly. CubaMex lives up to the name it's a Cuban mexican fusion restaurant. We had the CubaMex sandwich. It's a mix between a Cuban sandwich (ham, havarti cheese, pickles) and a marinated pork torta similar to the flavors you would find in a pork tamale. The sandwich is not pressed and it has a mayo/mustard sauce ("Cuban sauce"). If you're looking for a Cuban sandwich this is not it but if you're looking for a yummy, filling and delicious sandwhich, give this a try! Also, the man who took our order was super nice and during this pandemic this is definitely a location that could use some consumer support!

Fantastic Cubano, truly. Jose is a great guy.I had trouble finding the place but walk to exactly where the pin is on Google maps and look for a small window. There are no signs on the street sticking out.

Delicious food and such friendly and accommodating service. This is a little gem hidden away in downtown, literally you can walk right by and not even notice the little service window. The Cubamex sandwich is Ahhhhmazzzing. Also had the vegetarian sandwich which was quite tasty... was loaded with cheese and delicious veggies. Topped it all off with the guava cheesecake. Have to say, stopping here made my day.

One of the most unique Cuban sandwiches ever! The Cuban mexican combo makes this sandwich delicious and unforgettable - I do not think there is another one like this. The Canadian bacon and ham are perfectly combined with the carnita and Havarti Cheese. And the sauce! I don't know what's in it but it is so tasty! I highly recommend trying this sandwich. And the owner is so friendly!

This is definitely a hidden gem, hole in the wall. The owner is super sweet and friendly. Do yourself a favor and get the #4 Cubamex Sandwich, you can thank me later. It's super delicious, nothing I've ever had before. I highly recommend this place. #SupportLocalBusiness

I'm moving but had to visit one more time before leaving town. My husband loves the Cubamex, my favorite is the Salami. It's all about the bread and the sauce they use! I love how the sandwiches come with chips/salsa and pepperonchini and olive for accoutrements. The owner is friendly, it's a bit of a hole in the wall, but the quality is there and it's a great value! In the mood for a good sandwich? Give this small local business a try.
