The owner is not very nice, the banh bot loc and banh cuon was very good. The mi xao, fried rice and banh beo was only so so.

All I can say is WOW! This place makes the best ribs in San Jose if not in California. The BBQ sauces are a unique blend of spices and love that only comes with experience and time. The customer service is excellent and I would highly recommend anyone needed catering service reach out to this business.

Really like this place. Food is consistently good and reasonable price. Everytime In near the place, I stop by to bring something home.

Excellent banh beo and banh cuon. It's a takeaway spot, so not fancy. I got the size 1 container and it held fifty of the smaller banh beo.

Limited options if you don't preorder. This plate was $7. Banh Beo (bottom right, white mounds with orange powder) - this is my first time trying this after hearing about it for so long. This tastes exactly like a dried shrimp rice roll except the dried shrimp has been converted into a concentrated powder. Mung bean blob (middle) - this was interesting but the taste is a bit off like it's going bad. Maybe this plate has been sitting out too long. Banh It Tran (top left) - this was my favorite. So chewy and has savory filling with shredded meat. Tran (top right) - this was not good at all from the skin to the bland taro and ground pork filling.

I stopped by since I saw it driving by to see what they had and honestly not many options left on the counter. Not sure how long they have been at that location but looked cleaned. I got a small tray of Banh Beo for $4.50 and got some frozen Banh Bot Loc at .80 each. I thought it was a bit pricey. I mean it is almost as much as eggrolls! I got ten of them but they didn't have any cooked. I went home to cook them to compare to another one I got for .65 each. Flavor was decent and the size was much bigger! Banh Beo looked thin and I wanted to try bánh ướt thịt nướng but they were sold out. I'll come back next time I'm in the area for support. Nice ppl.

They sell delicious banh beo if you prefer the bigger thinner banh beo. For me I prefer the smaller fat ones, but these once in a while is good. My fav is their pork grinds 100/10 recommend, super cheat and they give you a lot! Only $5, if you go to TK down the street they sell the same size for $12!!!! This will forever be my pork grind place!

I was in need of some nem nuong spring rolls for a potluck, and this was one of the few places I could find that offered party trays of it. The place is located in a strip mall, so while the parking lot is small, there's also parking lots to the left and right of the place in case the lot in front of the restaurant fills up. I was greeted by a worker who spoke decent enough English that they were able to understand my order. It's $2.50/nem nuong spring roll (not sure if the other ones are the same price), and they cut it in half for you. It comes with a peanut dipping sauce. The rolls were well-received at my potluck, but I do wish the nem nuong was sliced thicker for the price. I would definitely recommend this place for Vietnamese food party trays Tip: Cash only. Order ahead if possible.

Location: strip mall. Parking isn't too bad. Food: great for parties. Taste 3.5/5. We got the banh uot thit nuong, which was good but mostly salad. I would still come back! It was the day before Thanksgiving, and we needed a party tray. To our surprise, Dai Loi was open and willing to take our order. Keep in mind that it's not a huge team. They get busy, so you should know what you want to order. My mom took forever to order on the phone and the lady was not having it, lol.

4.75 STARS"Hi, how are you?"*Stank eye*"$16.41".*Hands her a twenty*"You can keep the change."*Stank eye*Dayam, reminds me of my mom when I came home with an A-. I hope the food is not as salty as her attitude!J/k!I grew up with brusque AZN service so I wasn't surprised (don't take it personal). Plus, when you go to most Viet and Chinese shops/restaurants, you go there strictly for the food. In October, I made the mistake of not hitting up Đại Lợi the same time I went to Chá Cá Long Phung (down the block) for a Bánh Bèo comparison. A month later, after lunch at nearby Nam Giao, I made the point to stop by Đại Lợi, a Viet deli shop for lack of better words. Takeout only. No dine-in. M E N UApps: Chả Giò (egg rolls), Gỏi Cuốn (spring rolls), Nem Nướng (grilled pork sausage), etc.Viet Regional Street Food: Bánh Cuốn (steamed rice noodle rolls), Bánh Ướt (steamed rice noodle sheets w/o filling), Bánh Hỏi (woven vermicelli noodles), Bánh Bèo (water fern cakes), Bánh Bột Lọc: Tapioca dumplings, Bánh ít Trần: Sticky rice dumpling w/ mung bean, and more! They have pre-packaged items for grab 'n go.Catering trays require a pre-order. CASH ONLY!F O O DVisited the day after thanksgiving and by 11 am, only 7-8 grab 'n go packages were left on the table. Not sure how often they replensih items so come early for the best selection. * Bánh Combo Tray: Bánh Bèo (water fern cakes), Bánh Bột Lọc: Tapioca dumplings, Bánh ít Trần: Sticky rice dumpling ($7): tinyurl.com/2kybdcvh-- Bánh Bèo: Star of the bánh combo! The water fern cakes were soft, supple, and chewy. Probably the best deli takeout bánh bèo I've had in E Man Jose thus far. -- Bánh Bột Lọc: The tapioca dumpling wrapper was dense and had hardened but I really liked the savory pork and shrimp filling. They tased better when I warmed them up with a wet paper towel in the microwave.-- Bánh ít Trần: The sticky rice dumpling with mung bean filling was really dense but like the bánh bột lọc, tasted better after warming it up.-- Đậu Xanh: The mung beans were savory and nutty; not sweet like Chá Cá Long Phung.-- Nước Chấm: Hit all the right salty, sweet, and tangy notes with a good amount of fish funk. I appreciated they included pickled veggies for crunch and red chili sauce on the side because I like my nước chấm spicy. * Bánh Cuốn: Steamed Rice Noodle Rolls w/ ground pork & wood ear mushrooms filling ($8): tinyurl.com/nsc42xttThe bánh cuốn was smooth and soft with a satisfying stretchy chew. Slightly translucent so you can tell it's not overly thick. The ground pork and wood ear mushroom filling was savory and with the nước chấm for dipping, it's SO GOOD! Minor gripe: The bánh cuốn is only filled on the ends, not in the middle. With inflation, I guess they have to cut costs somehow but texture and taste, very solid for deli takeout. S E R V I C EBrusque; all business (at least on the day I visited). A M B I A N C EClean hole-in-the-wall, takeout only operation.P A R K I N GTight parking in the small lot. Overall, Đại Lợi makes great Bánh Bèo and Bánh Cuốn; IMO much better than their competitor down the block (Chá Cá Long Phung) that's more known for their fish cakes. Wish we had shops like this in the city (Lee's does not count). If you're in the E Man Jose doing a Viet food crawl or *cough cough* Viet coffee crawl, def stop by Đại Lợi to bring some goodies home!

Great service fresh food made to order. They allowed me to order to pick up before opening hours for my brothers funeral! I would recommend this to everyone!

Good quality and value. Love this small family business. Better to call ahead and order. If you don't speak Vietnamese- order by number- look up the menu first.

First time coming here with my family to place a pick up order for my baby shower. The man who helped us was nice. Venmo, Zelle, or cash only even though at their door said card was ok. Didn't bother me. Speaks English and Vietnamese. Took his time to explain how to order the party trays. Reasonably priced, family owned.
