Having lunch here was a disappointing experience. Location is in San Jose downtown at a high traffic intersection. The restaurant feels more like a fast food restaurant. I saw more take outs than sit-ins. Menu has lots of choices. Service was good and attentive. Food was underwhelming, missing didn't traditional Persian flavors. I had a stew and rice, both lacked the aromas of Persian foods. Based on the reviews I had high hopes but unfortunately I will not be coming back.

Service was very good but the food was too oily. Extremely heavy, and the portion was too big, I could have shared one plate between two people easily. Ambiance was not very nice.

I have tried several Persian restaurants in the Bay Area and this place has the best koobideh. It was so flavorful, juicy, tender and literally melt in your mouth.

Food is good here if you go the takeout route. We have enjoyed their food for a while so we decided to dine at the restaurant with a group of friends. The decor is minimalistic and not in an artistic way. The service was the worst I have ever seen. There was only one person working in the front and she was not happy that we were there. The service was slow and she was annoyed if we asked for anything. I was the one who ordered for the table and she became specially hostile with me. She would pretend that she can't hear me. We laughed it off. The toilet is outside of the building and kind of gross. It's a shame because the experience was so negative that I have stopped ordering takeout from them.

Food is phenomenal as usual. Today was the first day I dined inside the restaurant which I believed for the longest time was only a kitchen or usually closed. It's quite nice actually, AND this is the second location. Explained so much because I lived by the first location and now live near the second. Who followed whom? ?The service leaves a lot to be desired. Be prepared for a two hour endeavor if you dine in as there is one server at the front of house for ALL activities and she doesn't seem to know how to prioritize.Vegetarian options: limited to veg kabob, salad, and rice. Not at all a place for Vegans.Parking: very small parking lot, nearby street Parking, garage a block over.

As tourists in the Bay area, we loved Dizi Sangi so much that we visited this restaurant not only once, but twice! Their Dizi Sangi is perfect on a cold day or if you're looking for a delicious, hearty, healthy and filling meal. A mix of meat, chickpeas, and potatoes with plenty of broth that you pour out to mix with naan on the size, this is one of the staple Persian stews of which I can never from. Dizi Sangi did a fantastic job at getting the right dishes to serve this stew, because Dizi needs to be served with one bowl for the broth and one urn-type stone bowl for the meat, potatoes and the peas. They also provided the right type of masher spoon with which to mash and mix the potatoes and chickpeas, as well as massive tongs with which to pour out the broth from the stone bowl into the other bowl (because it can be really hot!). We also tried their Jajrood chicken kebab with rice which was hearty, delicious and very filling -- almost enough for two people. I found the service to be fast and friendly. Our server served us with hot naan and a bowl of sabzi with onions as soon as we were seated. The restaurant has lots of Persian-styled decor (I loved the painting and style on their front door) with plenty of seating space inside, although I was disappointed that they were playing English music instead of Persian/Farsi songs. One thing to note is that their bathroom is located outside the restaurant, although it is only a couple of steps away.Dietary restrictions: 100% halal food!Parking: There is plenty of parking right in front of the restaurant!

We had lunch at this place on Sunday. Four of us ordered 4 dishes and a basic appetizer, plus 2 non-alcoholic drinks. The food is tasty, but total bill was $180 which is way over priced. We were surprised that the Chicken and Koobideh Kabob with rice (already high priced at $25.99) did not come with grilled onions. We added grilled onions, only to find out that they charged $6 for few slices of grilled onions!! I think this place, is a rip off and I would never go back to it again. I was forced to leave less than 10% tip because of that. It is a standard average restaurant with average location and seating, I would probably give it as 2-star restaurant but they like to charge as 5-star restaurant. I was looking forward to it but came out disappointed.

I'm surprised there aren't more reviews for this place! We came here on a monday lunch and it was completely empty until the end. We were immediately seated and handed water, warm lavash and butter. We ordered the Torghabeh Special dish for 2 people and the portion was huge! I think this portion is big enough for 4 people! The chicken thigh was the best chicken thigh kebab i've ever had. It was super juicy and flavorful. The koobideh was also super juicy and had really strong flavor that complimented the fluffy hot rice well. Out of the three meats, my least favorite was the beef filet, which is usually my favorite! Not that it was bad, it was really good! it's just that the other meats tasted sooo good it really outshined the beef filet. I look forward to coming back and with more people to try more foods! Highly recommend!

Really great place to get some Persian food. The meat was juicy and the rice had the perfect texture. Place feels like a diner inside and very casual if your just looking for a really lowkey place. You pay at the counter. Also the menu is super big and I can’t wait to try it all. Also conveniently located downtown not that far from the light rail station. lol
