We came to Dr. Funk after Christmas and loved that they still had all their holiday decorations up, especially the Nightmare Before Christmas theme and the sandworm from Beetlejuice. It really gave the place a fun, spooky holiday vibe.
They have a lot of interesting and creative cocktails, most of which feature rum, which makes sense since this is a tiki bar and also runs a Nightmare Before Christmas pop-up during the season. I’m personally not a huge fan of sweet drinks, but if you enjoy sweeter cocktails and unique presentations, this place would definitely be for you.
They also have great outdoor seating with a fireplace, which was perfect for our larger group — we had a party of seven and felt very comfortable. Overall, a fun and unique bar experience, especially if you’re into themed décor and creative drinks.

Been coming here for a while now and the drinks and nacho fries are really good, however getting that first order in can take anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes. Today my date and I were rushing over to get in before the kitchen closed at 9 pm and we luckily got sat at 8 40 pm despite the line however no one came to help us until after the kitchen had closed. Hoping it wasn't intentional as they were busy, but still bummed I wasn't able to order food. Hope i can get some on my next visit.

Great service and fun atmosphere! The bouncers do a great job of keeping everybody safe and didn’t allow rowdy guests to stay. Nightmare Before Christmas drinks were very strong which made the price feel worth it! The bartender even gave us a free shot to apologize for the wait! A+ customer service!

I want to express that the only reason why this establishment gets an extra star is due to the fact that Chaz accommodated and listened to our concerns about a couple of drinks we had that tasted awful. I would highly suggest to stay away from the nightmare before Christmas drinks because they're extremely strong in taste and disappointing in taste. They were recommended as sweeter and they were not. The first person that serves us was horrible. He completely walked away when we talked him that the drinks weren't like we were told. He then went to the manager and left multiple times and talked about things that weren't related to our tab. He didn't close out our tab until we called him out and asked for it to be closed. Which he then grabbed Chaz who then made the situation much better. I would highly suggest not to get the drinks since each one cost a minimum of $20.

I just recently went with a friend to the Halloween clown circus and it was a blast!
The décor is another standout feature but the drinks are the star of the show. brace yourself! Dr. Funk's drink menu is not only extensive but also unique in its strength labeling, with drinks ranging from one to three X's, indicating the intensity. Be warned: the drinks pack a punch, especially those with a three-X
While the food might not steal the show, it's got that classic bar food charm with a little twist. Their fries are loaded with your choice of curry or nacho sauce and The coconut shrimp are a hit, though the portions are on the smaller side. if you're a wing fan, the crispy chicken wings are a must.

Very disrespectful to guests. Horrible night - Richard the security guard snatched drinks from our hands (that they had just sold us) as the night ended to kick us out. A simple request to leave if they were closing would have done instead :(
